Product Description

Review

“Yes! It [the content] definitely follows an organized pattern which I feel makes sense to the students. There is continuity as material in some of the first few chapters is mentioned in later chapters.”

“I will certainly keep using this text.”

--Sandi Nesbitt, University of Guelph-Humber

“There are very few Canadian content text books that are current and clearly presented. I think that is one of the strengths of the book. It is also clearly laid out as a textbook. One of the strengths is the discussion questions.”

--Professor, Concordia University

“[The advantages this book has over its competition is] it is Canadian and it is current!”

--Professor, Red Deer College

This book has excellent facts about Community and give good clear information.

It was a slow read and boring.. not something that keep me reading- If you want to become aware of community and how it works, what is out there. It is good for this..... print is too small...

If I was to teach a class using this book a would be using slide show presentations and asking the class to work in groups for chapter and present it to the class. This would give a better collaboration about the book and also others in site.
