To be clear, I am a Cisco certified engineer, but I ordered this book and the Mike Myers book for my nephew to help him study and get into the networking field. Having two sources of material allows for him to get multiple perspectives which is a good idea when starting out. The Network+ certification is a great place to start and this Lammle book is on point and very well written. I understand Cisco/Routing/Switching/Data Center/Wireless, so I found this book to be interesting and a great read, really nicely put together.

First, it is laid out really well and has awesome bonus material to help prepare for the exam. The material is all there and in a functional outline that leads from core topic to core topic in a systematic way.

Secondly, the writing style is phenomenal and easy to understand. I found it a great refresher for me, and the Subnetting section is incredible. Man, I wish I had this material when I began my career more years ago than I like to mention!

I highly recommend this book by Lammle if you want to get into the Network field.
