This was my course book for my holistic nutrition program, but it's completely unholistic.
Nobody needs such a high carb diet, even though they are marathon runners, especially if the carb calories come from sugar and fruit juice.
The nutrition advice is way backward and needs some update. It's way too quantitative and pays too little attention to the quality or micronutrient contents of foods. Far too many other textbooks do a better job at describing sports nutrition biochemistry and supplements, and as a source of info for athletes this book sucks.
