THE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGEMENT SUCCESS GUIDE 3RD EDITION: Everything You Need To Know About Construction Contracts, Estimating, Planning And Scheduling, Skills To Manage Trades And Home Renovations

JUST RELEASED SECOND EDITION

GRAB YOUR MANAGEMENT BOOK NOW! GREAT CONTENT! GUIDE YOU TO MANAGING YOUR SITES EFFICIENTLY

You’re about to discover how to the re-emergence of the real estate market sparked renewed optimism in construction. Across different states in the country, residential construction jobs are being undertaken in order to satisfy the demands in housing. Since residential construction projects are still a business (except when you want to build your own home), the idea is to build enough living spaces and to offer them to prospective clients or leasers at an affordable price.

Of course the success of such a goal still lies on income and the general economic outlook, but one thing is for certain: now that the housing crisis is over, more people will look forward getting a place to call their home.

In this book, we’ll talk about the Construction Project Management Life Cycle. We’ll also cover contracting and contract management, the participants in the construction job, and the critical success factors in every contracting job.

This book is written for both Project Managers and homeowners who wish to build residential properties; hence the concepts discussed herein are general but are important just the same when it comes to approaching the construction process.

HASH(0x9e77963c) out of 5 stars Simply outstanding. April 15 2014

I have been dealing with the construction and decoration of our new home the last few months, but although I have tried everything, nothing seemed to work as it should! Until I found this book... I was tired of wasting time doing construction and it never seem to work the way I planned, everything seems to take the twice the time. I was absolutely exhausted and unmotivated to continue. But here the author does a great job compiling the most important principles of construction project management using a clear, solid, engaging narrative style. Go ahead and grab a copy. It's totally worth it!

HASH(0x9e555f60) out of 5 stars A life-saver for both the homeowner April 10 2014

Although this book is directed just as much at project managers, I found it to be a real eye-opener as a homeowner. It's unfortunate that the construction industry, particularly as it relates to home building, has gotten a reputation for dishonesty or at least extreme time inefficiency. I think these things can be fixed in part by educating current and future homeowners on the basics of what is involved from the project manager's perspective. This book is a great first step in filling that gap in our knowledge.

HASH(0x9e552c18) out of 5 stars A few good ideas but poorly written with lots of repetition Nov. 9 2015
By Paul Construction - Published on Amazon.com

A few good ideas but poorly written with lots of repetition. Often confusing jumping from one idea to another. Gives you the basic ideas for construction management of your home renovation or building your new home, but you will need to know lots more to manage a construction project.
This book has hundreds of good reviews but I suggest you click on the reviewers name to see the other products they reviewed. It might surprise you to see that most reviewed the same products - almost none connected to construction. Also most reviewers only give 5 star reviews with the occasional 4 star to all their products. How strange that you have reviewers that all like the same products (from books about puppy training, to diets to cooking) and that every purchase is worthy of 5 stars?
I have read a number of construction books and this one is certainly not worthy of the reviews it gets. I was fortunate that I downloaded this book when it was offered for free. I would have been upset if I had paid the full price for the paper version!

HASH(0x9e56f3e0) out of 5 stars Thirdly it is poorly laid out and no one topic is given nearly enough attention to allow the reader to gain any kind of useful k Jan. 9 2016

I am a practicing professional who likes to have a library of resources I can refer to for different kinds of building projects. This book does not belong in that library for the following reasons and more...Firstly, there are countless typos in this book. By the 3rd edition one might expect simple spelling mistakes to be eliminated. Secondly, the writing is often disjointed and hard to follow, and strangely redundant in places. Thirdly it is poorly laid out and no one topic is given nearly enough attention to allow the reader to gain any kind of useful knowledge. This book lacks focus, and is in dire need of editing. Moreover, it feels as though a contractor sat down one afternoon and haphazardly "wrote a book" about their thoughts and opinions without ever reading back over it a second time. A waste of your money.

HASH(0x9e73aee8) out of 5 stars Unreadable....incredibly poorly written Jan. 28 2016

As a professional project manager getting back into construction after 20 years I was looking for a solid resource. I am sorry to say it but I find this book impossible to read. I think the author may know something about construction and project management but I will never be sure. Unless you enjoy many words poorly chosen suggest you choose another book on this subject.
