Product Description

Product Description

Farrah Miller and Cody "Casper" Butler have a longstanding relationship that both refuse to discuss.

It isn't romantic.

It may not even be classified as a friendship.

Casper's been saving Farrah from herself for longer than he'd care to admit, watching silently as she drowned herself in alcohol and bad decisions. Then when she finally got her act together, he left. He told himself he was giving her time to sort herself out. He tried to give her space.

But getting shot in the chest can change a man's perspective, and Casper's done waiting.

When he shows up on her doorstep one night, everything changes.

He's the man who's seen her at her very worst.
She's his weakness.
He runs when things get hard.
She never lets anyone see below the surface and is terrified of being abandoned.

Casper knows it's a long shot, that there's a good chance she'll never drop her guard for him- but he has to try. Because a life with Farrah is exactly what he wants...
Even if he has to fight her for it.

Awesome third novel in The Aces series by Nicole Jacquelyn!! High on dark angst and troubled love, CRAVING ABSOLUTION is the story of a trust that is hard to give but even more difficult to earn.

Farrah grew up under the greatest of misconceptions. Something that would affect her decisions and her life for years. And even after she had found a haven with her best friend, Callie's family and was taken in by Gram as one of her own, the scars left behind were deep and festering. Her adversity to the Aces MC of which Callie's brother and man were members had been spoon fed to her growing up, and she would have nothing to do with them. But she couldn't resist Cody, never had been able to, and when he finally decides to force down her walls, there is no way she is able to stack them up high enough again to keep him out.

Cody, or Casper as his MC brothers call him, had found a home and a new family with the Aces. Now that his brother Grease had finally laid claim on his sister Callie, he had settled in to the lifestyle, abandoning his former life without regret. It also brought him closer to Farrah, for whom he had cared from a distance for a long time. Hadn't just cared about, but taken care of as well. During her most difficult times, he had always been there to catch her and make sure she was safe. Seeing her straightened out and living a healthy life, encouraged him to finally make a move. And once he went in, he wasn't going to be pushed out again. But he hadn't considered all the bagage they carried between them.

The relationship between Farrah and Casper is at turns explosive and sweet. Sometimes within mere minutes.

I have loved all the books in this series but this is my favourite. Farrah is the most damaged emotionally and I couldn't wait to see how Cody/Casper handled her. The story doesn't disappoint and several times Nicole had me on tenterhooks wondering what was going happen. I really hope we get stories about the next generation because you can tell from the epilogue they are trouble with a capital T.

I really liked Farrah’s character, she was my favourite part of this book. She is a strong chick and is an example of how someone who suffers from panic attacks and anxiety and is completely unsure of herself in relationships, can still be strong and opinionated. Having panic attacks doesn’t make her weak, and it isn’t a character flaw.

I couldn't connect with the leading characters, I found them very whiny and annoying. Its probably cause of their age that I couldn't connect they are 21 I am 29. I just didn't like them. I will keep reading the author books because I truly enjoyed then, but for this one I was bored

I just knew in my heart after reading Craving Constellations that I would pretty much love anything Nicole Jacquelyn wrote..and thankfully, I was finally able to read this third book in The Aces series. I love her way of writing a biker book that is both gentle and very relatable and then in the next breath, tough and ugly and downright scary. The reality is that her charcaters are all very complex and for those who don't understand or think they are not likeable, I disagree completely...everyone has good/bad, nice/naughty inside and everyone deals with the craziness in their lives differently.
Farrah and Cody (Casper) were a long time coming...and it was meant to be when they finally broke down their barriers and went for it. No good relationship is easy though, and when you are the illegitimate daughter of an MC Prez and your mom was a club has nowhere to go from up at that point. Farrah has a new "family"...Cody and his sister Callie and their Gram who pretty much adopt her as their own...and from this humble beginning, their story unfolds as Cody becomes deeply involved with some serious club business and at the same time claiming Farrah as his permanently.
Relationships between daughters and fathers are mended, destroyed...fathers and sons are smashed to bits following terrible tragedy and deception and yet from all the ashes, there is a sense of family strength and a hope for a better future. There were quite a few exciting and unexpected twists in the story near the end...and some pretty disturbing scenes as well...but all ended as it should.
Cody was all at once a loving family man, loyal club "brother" and passionate lover...but with a few mis-steps and cold feet preventing him from going all in until he grew a pair and stepped up. Farrah had the patience of a saint and at times retreated into herself for comfort but never losing sight of what she really wanted in life. Her panic attacks BTW, were spot on in their description and I could literally feel them as she broke down...extremely accurate depiction of what it feels like to go through one.
I LOVED the epilogue too...awesome follow-up to what happens over the next many years and left me wanting to read more about the kids as they grow up!

HASH(0xa70d6918) out of 5 stars 4.5 Stars for Craving Absolution! July 21 2014

I cannot state enough how much I adore MC books. For serious...I check out every biker that passes me just in case he is my dream man in leather. That being said I can be pretty easy to please with MC books. Give me hot guys, club whores, old ladies, throw in some drug runs and gratuitous violence and you've got a happy girl. This doesn't mean I'll give great reviews willy-nilly simply because your book has bikers in it, it just means I'm a bit easier to please. Now, if you haven't read Craving Constllations and Craving Redemption STOP READING THIS! Go read those real quick....I'll just wait here until you're done.

Okay, now that you have gotten your fill of Dragon and Asa it is time to get to know Ghost (aka Cody). See, these books all connect together so it's kind of hard to understand what's going on if you haven't read the previous ones. We first meet Ghost in Craving Constlations when he's a prospect, then we see him again in Craving Redemption...but this time he's much younger and the heroines little brother. Well, hold on to your panties ladies because Cody is fully grown and ready to take on the world! Farrah was introduced in book 2 and has some serious issues. Issues that Cody is more than willing to help her through.

"Our relationship was complicated, dragged through the mud too many times to be clean or wholesome."

Nicole knows how to write bikers. Even when they are bad you can't help but love them. I am giving this story a solid 4.5 stars and shouting to everyone that this is a MUST read! Seriously, do yourselves a favor and one click this baby! I promise you won't regret it!

Okay so, I'll be the first to admit: I was highly skeptical of this read due to disappointed expectations in bk 2, but Craving Absolution did manage to redeem the series for me.

♥So what made me change my mind?: ♥ Cody/Casper!! *duh* I had a longtime infatuation with the prestigious school attendee who had the world by the tips of his fingers and how that all changed to him ending up in a MC club. Luckily for me, this book answered it all without overdoing all of the typical biker clichés and making me fall head over heels for resilient hero.♡♡

So the story:

In a nutshell: Two, lost broken souls with an affiliation of a lack of trust in anyone that comes their way. One fighting to find her place in this world. And the other, looking to make sense of his.

But basically:

✿Farrah Miller's (a.k.a “Ladybug”) life is going down in flames.

With a jaded past, hidden façade, and a very select group of friends, Farrah lives her life from day to day with her walls always up. That is, with the exception of Cody of course.

♥♥Cody “Casper” Butler, is like Farrah in some retrospect, and burdens his own load of loss and tragedy, but unlike her, turns to the Aces MC to find solace and refuge from the chaos.

He’s like the guardian angel of Farrah, always keeping an eye on her and always saving her from herself but still learning how to battle his own demons to save his own self.

But how can you truly rescue someone who’s hellbent on self destructing all by herself?

ESPECIALLY, when it's the woman that you're unconditionally and irrevocably in love with?

Now with the girl of his dreams spiraling out of control and into oblivion... will Casper ever get through to her and make her see that there’s more to this world and meanwhile keep his loyalty to the Aces MC?

And Farrah. With so much letdowns and disappointments in her life, will she finally let go and give trust to the one person who could possibly break her?

One thing’s for certain: A lot can go down in an MC read as love, danger, deceit, and sparks of old and new possibilities barrage their way into Casper and Farrah’s life.

What could this mean for Casper and Farrah?

Will the lovebirds get their coveted HEA?.. Will they ever grasp the exoneration they so desperately crave? And most importantly, will they ever find peace and redemption in it? Read and you will find out!

#A great, great addition to the Aces MC! Definitely made me have an epiphany and not second guess Nicole Jacquelyn, that’s for sure! Had me on a literal emotional rollercoaster with all of the high and low upheavals and tingling in my panties with all of the sexual tension and frustration! And then when Casper and Farrah came together, it was PURE magic! Loved it! ♥♥
