The optimum use of a disc record of constant rotational speed occurs when the innermost recorded diameter is half of the outermost recorded diameter. But why worry yourself with the details. The Crosley Portable Suitcase Style Turntable plays all three speeds, 33 1/3, 45 and 75 RPM records. By the late fifties, stereo records reached a peak in the marketplace as hi-fi sound reproduction attained its largest audience to date. The portable turntable was introduced in the late 1950's and provided music lovers with a sense of independence, allowing them to easily cart their record player from one locale to another. The popularity of this unit was due in no small part to its portability, but also to its suitcase-styled finishing touches that became a Crosley hallmark. So whether you choose Ella Fitzgerald or Elvis, celebrate your vinyl in portable style.

The very familiar three-slot style pay phone was first introduced in the 1950's and remained virtually unchanged until 1965. This appropriately christened prepay-style pay station will take you back to the days of old fashioned phone booths and 10-cent phone calls. Believe it or not, its predecessor was a post pay-style phone that actually allowed the caller to place their call and then pay once finished. While you don't have to pay for your calls with this Crosley replica, you will enjoy the functional coin slots complete with Crosley jingle as your money is deposited into the coin bank in the base of the unit.

This 1950's classic payphone replica is very authentic looking and amazingly attractive ... it is so, so beautiful ... and it also works perfectly as a phone ... which is its primary purpose.
It seems to be very well built ... while not made out of metal ... the high quality plastic is quite thick ... and if not abused or treated roughly it should do the job for years ... only the door for the coin box ( which also functions as a bank )is a weak spot and should be opened and closed with care but apart from that small quibble its close to perfect for the price. BTW when you insert coins a little bell rings just like a "real" pay phone. Well done Crosley ! I can see why so many people are happy with this purchase.

BTW SavingsMall gave me great customer service with a small problem concerning FedeX ! Thumbs up SavingsMall and Thumbs down Fedex.

I found mixed reviews with this product, but saw one in real life, and didn't think it was too bad. Got mine a day or so ago, and for the price paid, it is a decent unit. Yes, it is plastic (like everything these days), but it is reasonably well made and if you wanted metal, I am sure this phone would have to be priced at a minimum of triple the price offered.

The sound is good on it, and handled carefully, and it should last.

The manufacturers have thought out this phone well -- I use DSL internet and had a conditioning filter that was nearly an inch thick on my wall before... Crosley had left enough room that I can get a smaller filter easily in a recess in the back and thus, place this phone fairly flush to the wall. The pulse/tone and volume switches are on the back and not accessible once the phone is place on the wall -- set these up before you hang the phone and all will be well.....

I just received this item and I am so so disappointed. Made of very cheap plastic, coin release push bottom doesn't work, coin box key doesn't work, unable to open the coin box and something large object is lose and moving inside the bottom part. Size is also not correct. Instruction do not show opening of the coin box. Overall a very disappointing purchase. I really would like for Amazon and or the Seller to contact me with some explanation.

The phone looks great, from a distance. The closer you get to the plastic shines through and looks rather cheap. The coin slot actually accept coins that carry thru into the bottom of the phone. There is a small key to unlock the coin catcher to remove the coins. When it was brand new when you dropped a coin into the slot the phone would sing like the real ones used to do. That lasted for about the first 15 coins or so then stopped working.
