This book is for *mature audiences*. It depicts some pretty brutal scenes, there is swearing, and even the general violence is gorey and explicit.
Now that that's out of the way, this story is a great concept that evolves the "infected" type horror story. Like a "28 Days Later" taken to apocolyptic extremes. This is a genocide of mankind, and what's left are the utterly depraved, entirely homicidal, and completely redemtionless with a touch of struggling survivors.
While the Paperback version does not include Product Description, the Hardcover version (not the 3D one) does. I urge you to read it. It says it all.
I enjoyed the author's story, and the artist's work is incredible. It has had me re-thinking the story, it has added a whole new "what if" scenario to my vision of a future ripe with super-bugs and mystery viruses. I look forward to the release of the next "Crossed" title (3D), and sincerely hope this author/artist team keep going.
There are many books you can't put down once you start reading, and this is one of them. Just don't read it near children...

This is the one that started it all. A sure fire read for any enthusiast or starter to the series.Published 18 months ago by Sir Duke
Read reviews that this was good. Its ok, alot of sex, violence and rape. Sometimes seems to be trying to be overly offensive. Story is predictable and offers no surprises. Read morePublished on Jan. 4 2013 by Matthew Lepage
