The filter thread fits the faucet; however water leaks badly between the swivel base and the filter. The reason for the leakage is a mystery. Since there is no leakage at the connection between the filter and the faucet itself, it appears that the filter itself is defective. After having returned the filter, it dawned on me that the faucet female thread has insufficient length for proper seating against the filter's plastic gasket. I should have used a thicker gasket. Instead, I bought an adapter from hardware store that allows a tight fit against the gasket. The instructions should have pointed out this possibility of leakage due to insufficient threads in the faucet.

I really like the filter, designed very well and cleans the water brilliantly.

But, the replacement filters are like $10 more than the full kit, this doesn't make any sense at all, does it? I mean I'll end up buying the full kit every 2-3 months, instead of the replacement filters. Wish this wasn't the case, the disposable society hits again I guess :(

We've been using Brita on-tap filters for a few years with great frustration--they're always breaking or defecting in some way. Finally went online to discover that life doesn't have to be that irritating. All the design flaws I'd noticed in the Brita system are non-existent in this one. A few awesome things: the toggle that you pull out to get filtered water goes back in on its own when you turn off the tap. The threads to screw to the tap are METAL. When using non-filtered water it doesn't have to travel through the casement, causing unneeded wear on the structure. The filtered water pours out in a single stream instead of spraying out in all directions. This product costs the same or cheaper than the Brita system. Basically what I'm saying is Brita is obviously intentionally making their product crappy because they have some kind of monopoly on the store shelves, so when their product breaks over and over lots of people don't go to another company (because they are unaware of it), they just buy Brita again. NOT WORTH IT. Change your life. Get the Culligan filter.

omG!!! beyond my wildest dreams! My water tastes so Sweet! Live on Salt Spring, BC and the water from the tap tastes like drinking a pine tree. I had been buying water by the jug, but that is awkward and expensive. Thought I'd give this a try ...love to be able to just use my tap water. Super easy to install, and I couldn't believe how good my water tastes! Aaaaamazing! Super recommend!

We installed the Culligan faucet filter a couple of months ago and it was easy to do and it's quite solid. A lot better than the plastic Brita filter we had before. The water has a better taste but I can hardly tell how well it filters - guess we have to trust Culligan here.

What I found really annoying is the fact that ONE filter replacement cartridge is MORE expensive then the faucet filter itself, already containing a filter. I'm wondering now if I'm not just ordering a new faucet filter everytime, instead of spending more just for the cartridge... that really makes no sense and is definitely not economic. Looking for alternative options now.

I have been using this for a couple of months now. it seems to be performing quite well. The only two pitt falls are, it runs out very slowly and the replacement filter almost cost as much as the whole Faucet Filter.
Thank You

Hard to tell with filters if they are doing what they should be. I'll know after the next hard rain because our water is usually brown for a while after. In the meantime I'm taking the company's word for it. It does greatly slow down the flow of water and the little valve to redirect the water though the filter is already a bit iffy but otherwise I've had no problems.

Water tastes quite clean compared to my Clear2o jug. Filters are getting harder and harder to find for the jug, and they're getting more and more expensive. But this filter is priced perfectly and gives cleaner water.

Only con is that it's slow compared to Clear2o, and maybe even compared to Brita jugs (although the difference would be marginal here at worst). And if you have a loose kitchen faucet in your apartment, like I found out I do, putting water through the filter may make your tap leak where it connects to the counter.

That's the building's fault, not the filter's. In my case, the leakage is minimal and can easily be wiped with a cloth. So the only real con that you'll experience is that it's not super fast.
