In this book her Aunt comes from Connecticut to visit her mother, and Gianna isn't too surprised to see Aunt Stella as well, since she "lives" with her other Aunt. The real surprise comes when Freezer Dude shows up for more help from Gianna and sees her Aunt Stella. It turns out they were lovers in real life and time and death hasn't diminished their affection for each other.
Meanwhile, Gianna chooses to investigate the death of her favorite movie star who just happens to be the niece of one of her mother's friends. And if that wasn't enough, she reconnects with the friend's son who was her childhood friend. Because of the reconnecting is done at parties planned by a lady who runs a party planning business, Gianna is soon offered a job with the party planner, and leaves her job at the family deli. While reconnecting with her friend, Michael, she struggles with her romantic relationship with boyfriend Julian. (Julian is a fixer for a law firm, and Gianna has the icky feeling he is involved with the death she is investigating.
So many twists and turns with a set of twins to help make it all thoroughly confusing! Between the helpful ghosts and Gianna's determination, the investigation continues no matter what is turned up along the way!
This is a fun book with so many interesting characters and little details that seem unimportant until Gianna puts everything together. I want a friend like Gianna! She is terrific!
