It has a wealth of traditional Czech recipes, along with some of my personal favourites. So far I have made the halusky and the sweet pepper stew, both of which were wonderful, simple and tasted absolutely perfect. I am planning to make almost every single recipe in the book. The only recipe I wish it included that is missing is a recipe for medovnik, or honey cake, which I used to eat all the time in Prague. There are enough tempting desserts though that I don't mind too much.
I heartily recommend this cookbook to anyone who wants to try out some authentic Czech and Slovak cooking - the recipes range from simple to more complex, so it is ideal for cooks of any level.
