This was a replacement for a device provided by our cable provider. The unit was inexpensive(sale), easy to administer, has good signal coverage, and so far the performance is solid. After a few months, I have no regrets. I would recommend this unless your requirements justify the top mesh WiFi alternative.

The best feature of this router is, the "smart connect mode" which does not require you to have the two different SSIDs for 2.4GHz and 5GHz wifi. You can just turn on the smart connect feature in the router settings and that requires you to have just one SSID. Whenever you connect any device to the router, it automatically decides which device to provide 5GHz coverage and to which provide the 2.4 GHz coverage.
For example: If I connect my TV which is not too far from the router, the router will automatically provide 5GHz coverage to it. And, when I take my phone a little far and then try to connect to the wifi then it will connect to 2.4GHz because 2.4GHz has better range than 5GHz.
This kind of smart features makes this one of the best router in its segment.
I have my TV, 4-5 mobile phones, 3 laptops and an iPad always connected to the wifi and this router excellently manages decent coverage and internet speeds to all the connected devices.
Although, I was a bit skeptical before investing such a large amount on this router, I am very happy right now with my decision to purchase it.
