To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Work's excellent give me my 150 Mbps Download and 15 Upload with no issues. Firmware was easy to install and or upgrade and was an improvement in all the test I tried VS my Hitron advanced WIFI modem that Shaw provided. D Link software and interface are also very easy to use and everything works great my game lag was decreased and is very stable when online especially in games like Squad or BF1. The only downside is the wireless range but I live out in farmland and it still reaches the yard and everywhere on my property just with lower speeds not a big deal to me.

Despite having a gigabit port, It was much slower than my current router. I bought it to replace the router and allow me to take advantage of my 150 Mb/s internet speed. The speed tests showed that it was getting above 100 Mb/s speeds, but the actual performance while browsing the web and streaming videos was much worse than my current router (which is actually newer, but does not have a gigabit port). I returned it because it functioned worse in practice, despite the speed tests being higher.

I used this to extend our main router to another edge of our house and it works just fine but I am a Software Engineer and know my way around basic networking/troubleshooting.
All in all, if you're able to search the web for any problems setting up, it runs fine, no complaints.

I bought this unit as an upgrade to a router that we have had for around 10 years. We had recently bought a smart tv and noticed that our internet had become unstable. Once I installed and set up the new router every issue we had went away. We can access Netflix through the smart tv which we couldnt with the old router and we can use multiplr devices all at once with no issues. We are quite happy with the purchase.

Good basic router. It gets the job done. Streaming 1080p content to the TV works fine. Its a little on the slow side when doing large file transfers on a NAS. Well you cant expect the world for $60. Its pretty compact and the setup was easy.

I wouldn't say the range is anything impressive and D-Link doesn't support their products for free after a fairly short amount of time, so I am on my own if I ever need help. Way to go.

Works well with my network. I found the setup process was designed to work only with a Wndows network. Bad feature as I have only one Win 10 device on my 10 unit network. There must be an easier approach.

Don't buy this product unless you're computer savvy and can install it without help. I needed some help and found that D-Link no longer supports this model. End of story. I returned it.

Great value Gigabit router from Dlink
Reviewed in the United States on November 20, 2015Color Name: BlackVerified Purchase
Contrary to some reviews that this unit does not have good range, I don't seem to have that problem. I live in a 2 storey 2300 sf home. I get pretty good reception upstairs (although not full bars) and even in my back yard patio (about 3 bars). This is considered a budget Gigabit router so I am not expecting fantastic range like the hundred-dollar routers. At $35, for a up to 1000 Mbps router, I think it's a great deal. I am subscribed to 200 Mbps from my ISP and I can get 130 Mbps with this router. I am extremely pleased with that. This is my 3rd Dlink router and I am very familiar with their setup, so it just took me less than 10 minutes to set it up to my own specs. Out of the box, it's already setup by Dlink, with SSID and password, to work right away work with your modem.
It does feel cheap to the touch, like a hollow plastic cylinder. Don't get me wrong, it's still worth the money for a Gigabit router. You still get a USB 3.0 port to attach a storage device which you can share with anyone on your network. Dlink also gives you their Cloud storage service for free. I don't remember how much storage since I am not using it for now. You can also manage your router with an app downloaded to your phone or tablet. All the ports - ethernet LAN and WAN - are Gigabit (1000 Mbps) ports. It has 802.11ac as well besides the standard a/b/g/n. 2 bands - 2.4 and 5 Ghz. I have 2 phones (1 connecting on 802.11ac/5 Ghz), 2 laptops, 1 tablet (5 Ghz), all on 802.11n. No significant degradation in speeds. In my opinion, the only negative is that it feels and looks cheap. But because it is!
Well, I will recommend this router to anyone who does not want to spend more than $50 on a Gigabit router and who does not have lots of high bandwith devices at home connecting to the internet at the same time.

Overall seems to be a great router

We had a much older D-Link model that was working fine for us but we recently switched ISP's and now had access to a promised 50+ Mbps speed. My old router wouldn't go past 30 Mbps directly connected to the Ethernet port or about 12 Mbps on WiFi. So I switched to the AC750 and have loved the new higher speeds. My computer that is plugged into the Ethernet port gets about 94 Mbps download and 96 Mbps upload. My laptop I have on Wifi, is a much older computer but it now gets about 35 Mbps download and 78 Mbps upload. I didn't have any problems with the setup, everything was very user friendly. The only issues you might have with this router is if you are planning on using the Gigabit Cloud router portion. I think you have to buy additional specific hardware from D-Link to make that work. There is very little information in regard to setting up the cloud or troubleshooting cloud problems.
Since the time of this review our router has died on us. It lasted us approximately 14 months from the date of purchase. Warranty is only good for 1 year, so buyer beware. I thought the price was too good to be true when we purchased this, now I understand what I've always been told, "you get what you pay for" still holds true. The last few months we kept having to reset the router until it got to the point today where it simply won't connect to the internet anymore.

So far, so good, with one caveat. I replaced an aging DIR-655 which was acting up with this unit. The admin interface was immediately familiar and it was super easy to set up. It does have a lot of options but, if you are a power-user, that is what you want. You can ignore most of the features if you don't need them. I have not tested USB connectivity yet and that was not one of my primary concerns when choosing this router. For the price of admission, I don't think it would matter much to me if that feature weren't there.
I like the tower design a lot but they should have put some heft in the base so that it wouldn't be so easy to tip over. I couldn't route my wires to avoid causing the router to sit cattywampus on my desk so, I had to resort to holding it down with Velcro. As silly a thing as it is, that is the reason for the 4 star rating. If they had just put a hunk of pot-metal in the base, they'd have my fifth star.

I live in a 700 square foot apartment with 300 Mbps bandwidth, and generally 10 devices on my network at any given moment. I also utilize many things that require a brad NAT table.
I've had zero issues with this router, it looks bloody fantastic-and not like 99% of the routers on the market that would suggest I need to see a shrink about my depression, and definitely beats using the terrible combined gateway/routers your ISP is almost assuredly installing into your home.
The real adventure was configuring the ISP's modem-router hybrid into a bridge successfully, but none of those travails were the fault of this router.

Failed after 8 months
Reviewed in the United States on November 19, 2014Verified Purchase
Completely failed after 8 months. Technical support phone call took an hour and a half to determine that my router "must be fine". I insisted, after running a direct ping test showing delayed responses from the router and running every test they suggested, that they needed to test their own router of the same model in "their lab" to see if they can reproduce the issue. How frustrating is it to see that this router is defective and that technical support's job is to get you off the phone without losing any money? I understand trying to make sure your products aren't defective coming out of the factory, but why not look at my ping test that I ran while on the phone with support showing spikes in response time from the router and offer a replacement for being under warranty and clearly broken? Dlink testing their own router doesn't fix my problem. Terrible tech support.
EDIT: I called back D-link support a few days later to ask the results of their lab testing. They said they hand't done it, and preceded to ask me if they could have a few more days to "run tests" on their version of my router. After becoming verbally frustrated with the representative that she was intentionally running me in circles to get me to give up on a return under warranty, my agent, Rachael (Agent #AR004675), and her RMA (return processor) supervisor, "Van Ngo", agreed to a return to perform a "failure analysis" on it.
I've sent it out to D-Link but have yet to receive any refund check, so I'll need to call a third time to request what should have been taken care of in a single phone call.
This was such a pain to get any sort of fix for something which should have been easy with my receipt.
