As everyone else says...do the math. At less than $200, this is the single best deal on a Dewalt tool given the two 5ah batteries that are included. Even though the product says it ships in 1-2 months I had it 12 days after I ordered it and that was actually delayed 3 days due to the Easter holiday weekend. Tool has tons of power and had no issues with anything that I tested it on right away. This actually completes my set of 20V Max tools and it's nice to have the more powerful and longer lasting batteries for items like the circular saw, planer, reciprocating saw, etc.

This is imo the best deal on 20v Dewalt products. You get the two 5 amps, the grinder, the 4 amp charger, the bag, and the grinder of course for a little over what you'd pay for two 5 amps on their own depending on the sale of course. Even the full price is pretty cheap.

As for the grinder, I haven't used it extensively, but a coworker grinded 48 feet of roof sheets with no issues with it. Compared to the old 18v grinders, this was like night and day.

$199 for two 5ah batteries ($180), a grinder ($100-$125) that's pretty good and even better with the 6ah battery, a 1.5 amp charger ($30-40), and a bag ($10). If you own the 20V line of tools and don't have the grinder this is the perfect kit. Just for the batteries and charger alone even. Also comes with a 5" x 1/4" grinding disc and it said it would arrive in 2 months but 11 days later I got it in the mail. Amazon for the win.

Used my new dewalt grinder 1st time last weekend. Was modifying a set of commercial duty tire chains to fit my smaller farm tractor. If you are familiar with duo chains you'll know, usually you can't just shorten them, it's almost like you reengineer them. Cut 6 links on each chain to fit, & the grinder was way easier than dragging out an extension cord & the electric grinder. Also, i can sharpen lawn mower blades without having to remove them,,,big time saver. Very handy. Will find many more uses I'm sure.

I am a welding student and I absoloutly love this grinder, I bought this back in February and wanted to wait to write an honest review. I got it with the 5 amp hour battery and this thing kicks @$$. It's super quite, I can use it anywhere in the shop to clean up metal, it cleans up welds and removes slag perfectly in less than 5 seconds with a braided wire wheel, i havent touched a wooden wire brush in ages. This thing will last 2 1/2 hours for miscellaneous grinding in the class room. If I have to really really work at a weld (i.e grinding out 7018 to put a groove in for the length of the weld for a cap pass) I'll go plug in a corded grinder so I don't have to worry about draining my battery, if all I need to do is take out some extra weld metal because i went a little slow, this thing takes it out like butter, pipe root gap to tight? Throw a sanding wheel on it and get that perfect 1/8th" root gap without having to walk it across the shop to a vice/outlet/grinder (and you know you'll be waiting for it). It grinds root faces on plates and pipe like any corded grinder would. I have 2 battery's for it and very rarely do I have to bring out the second one. I had 4 other students using one battery for the majority of the night. I carry this in a pouch around my back with 3 other wheels, if I need anything cleaned up a bit this thing is there and ready to go.
