Product Description

Six friends on a tourist trip to the Korean DMZ have their lives changed forever when they decide to step into a no-man’s land. But they soon discover that a border is not the only line they’ve crossed.
A revealed secret between them causes bad blood to spill over, preventing the friends from cooperating. With the specter of capture by a totalitarian regime awaiting them should they stray too far off course, and with a pack of primordial predators roaming the woods, the wayward travelers must find a way to set aside their differences if they are to avoid becoming either political prisoners… or prey.

5.0 out of 5 stars DMZ May 13 2017

Six friends on holiday in South Korea use their last day to take a tour to the DMZ.This visit is just the start of a thrilling and very inventive novel. I couldn't put it down. Will they survive an ill advised step into North Korea? Getting caught by North Korean soldiers is the least of their problems. I highly recommend this book.

Very interesting adventure. Couldn't put it down. Like N Korean wasn't scary enough already. Rick Chesler always delivers a good story
5.0 out of 5 stars As if Being Lost in North Korea Wasn't Bad Enough... June 21 2017

This was an intense read. I liked how the point of view switched between Paige and Kevin throughout the story. I found myself dreading hearing the sounds of the dinosaurs, and knowing that they were coming back for more. Having the story take place in the DMZ between North and South Korea made for an intriguing setting that added to the level of intensity in the story. Rick Chesler always delivers a fast-paced adventure, and this one certainly qualifies.

So, I picked this up via Kindle Unlmited and it was well worth the read.

As usual, Rick Chesler brings us into a cheesy chompy paradise full of things that bite (and rend and tear you into a million little red pieces). The North Korea aspect is fun and it really did feel like Chesler has been on that actual DMZ tour (only without the beasties).

I liked most of our characters and found myself in that jungle with them as they were being stalked by hungry things.

The only sour note was one of our characters - the only one I didn't like. And she was one of our two main characters. Seriously, I wanted her to be dino lunch! (Was she? You'll have to read to find out!)

All in all, though, the fast and fun Rick Chesler writing I've come to love. Bring on the next book!
