Product Description

** Book #1 in the Slater Brothers series. **

After a car accident killed her parents when she was a child, Bronagh Murphy chose to box herself off from people in an effort to keep herself from future hurt. If she doesn't befriend people, talk to them or acknowledge them in any way they leave her alone just like she wants.

When Dominic Slater enters her life, ignoring him is all she has to do to get his attention. Dominic is used to attention, and when he and his brothers move to Dublin, Ireland for family business, he gets nothing but attention. Attention from everyone except the beautiful brunette with a sharp tongue.

Dominic wants Bronagh and the only way he can get to her, is by dragging her from the boxed off corner she has herself trapped in the only way he knows how...by force.

Dominic wants her, and what Dominic wants, Dominic gets.

Well to start off, I will tell you that I read ALOT! I only leave reviews for the books that really stand out to me! This is certainly one of them! Let me put it this way, I read a book a day (usually) and I purchase all books from Amazon for my Kindle, yet I only have 7 reviews here on Amazon. I will only take the time to write one if the book was 5+ stars and made me very happy OR if the book was awful and I feel the need to let other possible readers know before they purchase! (I only have one such review)
Anyway....... I purchased this book because the blurb intrigued me greatly. It sounded good BUT different than every other new adult book out there! I also LOVED that it is the beginning of a series starring brothers! I love that! Sure, it's been done before but it works for me lol

"Dominic" captured my attention from page 1, the heat in wordplay, the perfect description of surrondings, the clean, precise writing all had my attention! What a fabulous debut from L.A. Casey! She sure can write, the flow is PERFECT!
The Hero and Heroine have a great, unique relationship, though they are in their last year of High School I didn't feel cheated on the heat or dialogue between them. I loved being able to see the Heroine grow and blossom, I love how protective and Alpha the Hero was. Most of all I loved seeing two families that had both seen great devastation find love and healing. The emotions this book opened in me while reading were great, I was happy, I was sad, I was mad, I was on the edge of my seat and then I was happy again!
The book does include a HEA but no epilogue as I assume we are going to see these characters in the future in L.A.'s next novels in this series!

What a great read. At times I wanted to kick Dominic and the hug him. I feel in love with all the Slater brothers and look forward to their book. If you like bad boys and the girls who bring them to there knees you will love this book. Bee stands up for herself and doesn't let Dominic get away with his bullying

The pace is lively, the dialogue spicy and fun. The brothers come across as sexy and badass.
The origins of where the brothers come from and challenges they face are really implausible though. A conflict that was not quite so dramatic and far fetched would have been more believable.
The other thing that grated was how screechy the main character would get at times. For a girl who spent most of the time supposedly being invisible it didn't fit for her to suddenly be losing her mind in temper fits, screaming and hitting people. The read would have been just as fun with that toned down a bit.

I really enjoyed this book. I will say that I was surprised the characters were only 18. I hadn't realized that going in, but I still really enjoyed the story.

Bronagh is a bit childish, but I loved her spunk and how she spoke her mind. She really grew as a character and I appreciated that about her.

Dominic was the kind of hero I like. Possessive, jerkish, and violent.

I am very much looking forward to the next book.

I really loved this book, like the other reviewers said I couldn't put the book down either. I love the alpha males who are rough and tough on the outside but can be knocked down a few pegs when they find the right girl.
I'm from Newfoundland so we often use the word me for my, so I loved reading that in the book. Can't wait for more of the Slater brothers.

I am an avid reader and this book caught me from the start. The characters were wonderfully developed and true to life. Both hero and heroine had good and bad traits and it was easy to imagine them as full of life. Well developed plot line with a twist at the end. I have read it over many time since buying which is odd for me. Loved it!
