... the fact that this isn't all house remixes but this is still a good remix collection. While not up to the remix collections cds of Chaka Khan, Blondie or Jellybean but not as worthless as the Deboarh Cox or Amber ones this is a review of some older tracks done over by remixers other than Daft Dunk themselves. The selling point for me was the inclusion of the house mix for "Face To Face" that was number one on the club chart on Billboard. Plus the fact that this isn't a mixed cd is a major plus for me. Here is the track listing and times for each song.
1- Ouverture (2:41)
2- Aerodynamic (Daft Punk Remix) (6:10)
3- Harder Better Faster Stronger (Neptunes Mix) (5:11)
4- Face To Face (Cosmo Vitelli Remix) (4:54)
5- Phoenix (Basment Jaxx Mix) (7:52)
6- Digital Love (Boris Dlugosh Remix) (7:27)
7- Harder Better Faster Stronger (Jess & Crabbe Remix) (6:00)
8- Face To Face (Demon Remix) (Demon Remix) (6:59)- house!!!
9- Cresendolls (Laidback Luke Remix)(5:22)
10- Aerodynamic (Slum Village Mix) (3:36)
11- Too Long (Gonzales Version) (3:14)
12- Aerodynamic (7:47)
13- One More Time(Romananthony's Unpluuged) (3:39)- sounds like a lost Prince outtake.
14- Something About Us ( Love Theme From Interstella 5555) (2:14)
Not a bad set of electro/house and acoustic mixes from the French dance act.

hey everyone,
i'm Joe. i been a daft punk fan since the cd discoverly came out. i first saw them on toonami midnight run and love one more time. when i saw this cd at wal mart in logan west virginia while visting my grandparents.i brought it. i like the techo songs without words like track 12 track 12 sounds like a fighting scene. i really like netures and daft punk. and face2face is a fast song. and phoniex sounds weird in the beging it sounds like a group singing and then aliens laughing and then scared of something. some of the tracks are great i only have three i hate. the rap song it sucks i brought this because i though it wouldn't have any swearing since it's techo and i hate rap. they use one of daft punk's songs and make it a rap song. i guess it's ok if you lke rap. and 11 suck too it was a love song play on the piano. it's not even techo. and one more time unplugg sucks. i like the dancing song better. the reason i brought this to hear one more time. but all it is is a guy sining about making love. most of the words is about making love. and everyone knows making love is sex. so kids don't need to hear this. the rest of the cd is great daft punk sound stay with techo. and not mixed the music.i can't wait for daft punk's new song. and hope it's better then this. don't buy this if you just like techo. just download it. this is why i gave it a 4 out of 5. thank you for your time.

Daft Punk is one of my all time favorites. Their 4 singles and video series for them were genius and amazing, but 3 stars was probably generous for this cd because it disappointed me a little. I'm still confused about whether they are treating this as "a new album" since it was so marketed in the US (unlike Alive 1997). If they are, it was a dissapointment, if it was meant to be a bunch of extended, clublike versions of their previous songs, then it's alright. Dont get me wrong, the only new songs on the album, Ouverture and Aerodynamite are great and distinct style like Discovery Daft Punk, but the club mixes and experimental songs I could do without. Parts of the club mixes are great, but they repeat and run on like an average techno song, something I've never known Daft Punk for. The American influence is clear on this album too with the presence of rap on the Neptunes Remix and Slum Village. Both songs are terrible and I try to forget that Aerodynamic was destroyed and rap put over it. I also have to mention that the Romanthony Version of One More Time is possibly the worst song I ever heard, and I'm quite surprised its even on the cd with how bad the singing is. Artists change, but this wasnt change, it just kinda seemed like they were trying to get you to spend money. To top it off, I thought I'd finally have access to their website (only people who buy their cds can go there) and when I loaded the cd it took me to a webpage advertising their Interstella 5555 figurines, forcing me to sign up for some advertising scheme for it. Kinda disappointed but Im trying to tell myself this was just to hold us over for now.

Simply, nothing I can complain about. Some great sounds were released in this album, and of course, a must have for Daft Punk fans alike.
Starting off with the Ouverture is a great idea, and is totally the Daft sound we have all come to know and love in their first release of Homework so many years ago now, and as we all still know their ever adapting sounds are also quite aparent in this release. Mostly remixes of thier 2001 released album "Discovery" this VeryDisco CD, covers every sound you want to hear from Funk to House back to Funk. Lyrics carry us through the whole way. The Punk's own re-creations in AeroDynamite, and Crescendolls are a great sample of their early work.
Some songs on this album should not have been toyed with, like Phoenix I will admit, (my personal fav from Homework) but aside from that, sit back and enjoy the sounds that other artists have loved enough to remix, and I loved enough to keep me comming back for more.
