Product Description

Reality is overrated…

Exhausted single mom Daisy Garner is shocked when her blog about life with Darling Husband and Baby Delight in their charming Victorian home brings a national talk show to her door.

Amazing! Except she made the whole thing up.

Panic! Now she needs to borrow a Victorian house and find a man to play her fake husband on TV.

Travis O'Hare steps up for the role, as long as she'll marry him for real. He wants their son to have the stable home life Travis never had.

But before the wedding can happen, Travis and Daisy have to get through the interview with a ratings hungry host and a slick producer with ties to Daisy's troubled past. When a winter storm traps them all, it begs the question: can two people pretending at love finally discover the real thing?

3 1/2 stars - Really enjoyed this book about Daisy Garner and Travis O'Hare. Daisy is a single mom who is in debt and lives a chaotic life. Her 2nd joy in life (after her colicy, adorable son Bryce) is writing about her "perfect, imaginable" life in her blog - Daisy can do it all; however, her "perfect" life is about to be discovered - that is the price of popularity and fame - how will she get out of this jam? Thank heavens she has family and friends who love her and help her when she needs them.

Daisy blogs her life as a loving mother to a perfect son who she refers to as baby delight and an amazing “darling husband” who does it all. They live a perfect life in their Victorian home and small town life, with everyday being something special. She is the perfect homemaker, who makes 5 star meals and can sex kitten it up for her darling husband while still keeping it G rated for baby delight. Sounds like a perfect life doesn’t it? Here’s the problem it’s all fake!! In reality Daisy is a single mom who lives in an apartment with her far from perfect baby. Even though he is perfect in her eyes that lil man gives her a run for her money. And the darling husband? Well he does exist sort of…. Trav and Daisy had a heartbreak and tequila infused night that resulted in Bryce. Trav has true feeling for Daisy and asks her to marry him all the time. But Daisy is tired of being the screw up in the family and refuses to jump in head first anymore or do something because it would make life easier.
But she learns that life sometimes throws you a big curve ball….Her blog catches the attention of a popular morning show and they want to interview her. Daisy is ecstatic thinking that this is her chance to get herself out of debt and provide a better life for her and Bryce. Until she stops and thinks about it….they want to interview her in her Victorian home with her perfect baby and husband. She decides to do the next best thing fake it till she makes it. She gets a house from Trav’s gram and then asks Trav to play the darling husband part. Everyone agrees to help with one catch…Trav doesn’t want to play husband he wants ‘be her husband.’ Seeing no way out she commits to marrying him. Then the ball starts rolling, the news crew shows up and its lights camera action.

2.0 out of 5 stars DNF Feb. 11 2017

I read this to 52% and just couldn't read any further. I read the first book and really liked it. The blurb for this one sounded cute and the reviews were good. Apparently my 'funny bone' is different. The plot for this book was so weak that I just couldn't believe it. Daisy has written a blog about her perfect life with her perfect husband and perfect child. In the blog she talks about the wonderful meals that she prepares in their beautiful Victorian home and her romantic nights with her husband. In real life, she is an unmarried single mother who lives in a tiny apartment and can't cook. When a TV show calls and asks to interview her and her "darling husband in their beautiful home" she agrees to marry the father of her child so that she will have a husband and then borrows his grandmother's home for the interview. I'm sorry. I just didn't like Daisy and I didn't find her antics amusing. No one in their right mind could believe they could pull this off. She's in her hometown and everyone knows she is single! When the producer of the show turns out to be her first husband (yes, this will be her THIRD marriage), my eyes started to cross. At 52% nothing has really happened except a multitude of lies and a snowstorm that has blocked everyone in. Time for me to find a different book.
4.0 out of 5 stars Another great story in the Clover Park series. March 21 2017

Daisy Does It All is book number two in Kylie Gilmore’s Clover Park series. I listened to the audible version, so had the same issues as with book one, meaning I did not care for the narrator at all. However, I actually liked this book even more that the first, The Opposite of Wild.
This one continues the story of these two Clover Park families, with the focus being on Liz’s pregnant sister, Daisy, who may have embellished tales of her life a wee bit for the mommy blog she writes. The characters are learning how they fit in each other’s lives, while trying to make some sense of their own lives as well. All this with the added obstacle of having a television crew stranded in the house with them for several days.

And of course, Gran is there with all her fun-filled antics.

As all the characters develop a bit more throughout this second book, you will come to love them even more.
I am hoping the next one is the story of my favorite brother, Shane. Looking forward to reading it soon.

5.0 out of 5 stars Her blog takes national attention for her ideas and as an example of a wonderful home with husband Nov. 12 2015

Daisy is raising her son on her own. She feels it is time she stood on her own two feet and not rely on the goodwill of others. To help her get through the day and image what she wants her life to be, Daisy starts a blog. Her blog takes national attention for her ideas and as an example of a wonderful home with husband, wife, and baby. She is okay with everything until she is contacted to be on TV with her family. Instead of saying no, Daisy agrees and then looks for someone to be her husband. Travis, the baby's father, steps up to be her fake husband because he wants the job for real. Throw in a needed Victorian home, snow storm, and an ex for a recipe for disaster.

A hilarious story with Daisy getting in way over her head with the blog, continuing the facade, her inability to cook, and the storm that traps everyone at the house. Daisy needs to face reality and see the family in front of her and the passion she is looking for. I love each of these stories, as we get to know other people in this group and each story can be read as a standalone book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very sweet May 1 2014

Daisy Garner is a single mom to a 6-month old baby boy named Bryce that she loves more than anything. She has made a life time of mistakes and is determined to do right by Bryce. No more doing whatever she wanted, whenever she wants, no more fly by night one night stands which is how she came to be pregnant in the first place, no more mistakes. That doesn’t mean that she doesn’t dream about the perfect life though so Daisy started a blog with the perfect family. Darling husband, even though she didn’t have one. Baby delight when in fact Bryce had Colic and would cry for hours at time. And then theirs Daisy, the perfect mom that cooked, cleaned and was always prepared even though she couldn’t cook, hated to clean and was never prepared. She had thousands of followers and all of loved her! When she’s approached by a national talk show asking her for an interview at her beautiful Victorian home along with darling husband and baby delight, what’s a girl to do? Lie… or at least find a way to try and pass it off.

Travis O’Hare wants for his son to have both parents in his life full time, he’s tired of being a part time dad. Daisy won’t marry him though and won’t budge to any of his requests so what’s a guy to do? Blackmail…. He agrees to be her husband and lie on national TV is she agrees to marry him for real. One problem though… they really don’t know each all that well and nothing ever works out like you plan.

This was a great story with some really funny characters. Daisy drove me a bit nuts at time because she’s so stubborn but she’s quick witted and funny which made up for her downfalls. Travis was sweet and endearing even when Daisy wouldn’t budge on anything. Oh and Travis’ Gran was hilarious! Oh my word, the things that come out of her mouth and the things that she does were laugh out loud funny.

This was the book 2 in the series and even though I read it before reading book 1, I was able to follow along just fine. I will however go back and read book 1 which is about Ryan (Travis brother) and Liz (Daisy’s sister). I have to if for no other reason than to see Gran is up to.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Great Read!!! July 4 2015

Daisy has spent her life screwing up and running from her problems. Now she is a single mom to a 6 month old boy named Bryce. She wants to make a stable home for Bryce and stop running. Bryce has colic, and Daisy is frazzled and exhausted. To keep her sanity, she starts a blog describing her perfect life (Perfect Husband- she doesn't have one although Bryce's Daddy has asked her to marry him 3 times, perfect baby- Bryce screams A LOT, and the perfect house- she lives in a small apartment, and her being the perfect Mom- she hates to clean, can't cook and works at her parents restaurant.....but no one knows it is not real. A talk show contacts her wanting to interview her about her blog..... dragging in a blast from her past in the process.
Join Daisy as she tries to create the perfect life that she blogged about for the TV crew. Kylie's humorous and realistic writing sucks you in right from the start. Let's face it.....most new Mom's want to give their child the best life possible and feel "less than" sometimes, thinking they are not doing things right and getting overwhelmed.
Definite MUST READ!! I can't wait to read the rest in the series!!
