Cecily, Isaac, and Julian have worked together to defeat one evil. Can they survive another?

In order to save herself from the twisted fate Sadina, the creator of the Dyphillum, has in store for her, Cecily will be forced to find the most powerful magic she possesses – or become nothing more than the mother of an army of immortal bent to take over the world.

Sadina has to die, but would that erase all of the spells she has cast? Would history be rewritten without the Dyphillum race?

With help from an unlikely ally and opposition from the elders, the trio is forced to reach deeper than ever before to defeat this great evil.

5.0 out of 5 stars A connected family is a strong family. Sept. 30 2015

This is a paranormal romance. This is the second book in the Dyphillum series, I advised for readers to start off with the first book, Persecution, you will understand the characters and story line much better. I also recommend this for adults only, due to the sexual content. Damnation is a short read, so run a hot bath and soak up the goodness. A cliff hanger, OH MAN, I can hardly wait to see what happens next! Cecily is bad about underestimating herself and in this book she is learning to trust her powers. She is still being protected by Issac and Julian the dream brothers... yes both are swoon worthy. But her heart is completely devoted to Issac. The plot thickens and things happen so quickly, I wasn't for sure if I had skipped a page or I went back to double check, OMG!!! I will not say anymore, just read the book(s) for yourself, you will not be disappointed.

Cecily, Isaac, and Julian are all Dyphillum (half vampire and half witch) together they are a lethal combination. They have found out that Cecily is a supposed pawn in a horrible baby making scheme. Hell no she will not be, they have protected and defended each other before, so it just another escapade... right? Well this time they may have bitten off more than they can chew. Sadina is not just a magical witch, she is the creator of the Dyphillum. But to defeat her would mean they will cease to exist. Issac will do anything to keep Cecily by his side, even if it means his own demise. Julian will do anything to keep them all safe, even dance with the witch herself. Can they defeat her without destroying their kind? Is there anyone else that is willing to help them?

Favorite passages:
"I've got a feather for you," Julian said as he cut his eyes at me."
"The feelings this man created inside of me were to strong for words."
"Say something like that again and I'll rip your fu**ing heart out, you got me?"
"Have faith in us and faith will be with you."
"He looked like a kid that found a toy that didn't work."
"This man had more mood swings than a human on menopause."
"For what it's worth, Issac, I love her as much as I love you and I will die for her, you know that right?"
"She brightened everything up and added a library, that girl liked to read."
"Hell no. We stand as a family, we love as a family, we fight as a family," Cecily said as she walked through the door." <3

5.0 out of 5 stars what a wonderful series! May 7 2015

This is the second book in the Dyphillum series. Elizabeth Montgomery's writing gets better each book she writes and this is no different. There always seems to be impending doom for Cecily, Isaac, and Julian, but as a family they always come out ahead. This book really gave you a more adult view into Isaac and Cecily's relationship which I enjoyed. The story itself is just like book one it keeps you reading and wanting to know more. At the end we even get a rare glimpse into a softer side of Julian. Seeing the warewolves become part of this series is very interesting as well to see Lucas and the brothers walk a fine line between friendship and people wanting the same thing. By the end Lucas is a character that evolves and becomes a true part of this story and I'd love to see more of him and his background come to play. I'd love to know more of Mercedes and Julian's past, even if it's to come in upcoming books. Looking forward to the continuation of this series!
5.0 out of 5 stars Quick but entertaining April 1 2016

Like its predecessor, Damnation was a very quick read, picking right up where Persecution left off.

This book includes vampires, werewolves, a great heroine in Cecily with an equally awesome hero in Isaac, a hiss-worthy villainess in Sadina, who wants Cecily - the last vampire on Earth capable of breeding - to be her baby-making factory.

Well, that just won't do.

Ms. Montgomery's writing style has improved over the course of the two stories, and I enjoyed Damnation quite a bit more than Persecution. I quite look forward to the next book in the series.
