Waffles in photo were made by an 8 year old. The waffle maker tends to get very hot. It would be better with with larger handles that are more heat proof. Kids need supervision around appliances and this gadget is no different. It was well used this holiday season.

I gave this product as requested for my secret Santa. She's happy with it and it came fast. I can't say more as I just gave this as a gift. Value wise... I saw some cheaper product with the same purpose but it's Christmas so can't complain.

There is no temperature control - it is either, On or Off, by plug 🔌.
The instructions say to hold the front of lid, with your hand positioned from the side. Which is strange - because the handle (& whole appliance) is small. I still did burn myself once, because of the awkwardness.
I don’t have anything bad to say about this waffle maker.
The element is very hot - be careful.
It is small, so expect one waffle at a time.
The waffles came out super fluffy - like a pressed pancake.
I used a little spritz of cooking spray on top & bottom - no issues sticking.
Read the introduction booklet for tips & recipes.

I aboslutely love my waffle maker. Purchased it because my son is obsessed with waffles and I hated spending the money on crappy frozen ones. The recipe book is great and now I make and freeze my own waffles with my own added touch, they're amazing fresh and and even when frozen are still so much better than the other store brands

I first saw it on sale at Sur La Table for $15 but since I didn't want to pay the costs of S&H to Canada, I decided to look for it elsewhere and saw it here on Amazon for $15. I try not to buy appliances no matter how big or small if I don't see a use for them but I made a special exception with this one because it was so damn small, AND CUTE! Not to mention that the more expensive machines, while wonderful if you have the space for it in your kitchen, can't make teeny tiny cute waffles like this. The size reminded me of the delicious waffles we get at a famous Belgian restaurant in Vancouver that serves theirs with sides of decadent sauces (dark chocolate, orange fig marmalade, white chocolate pistachio rose water) so I thought yes, I'm going to do it.
It heats up quickly (in a few minutes) and cooks the waffle in about 3-4 minutes (depending on your batter). As the professional pastry chef Stella Parks writes about in her articles about waffles, the key is to not fill the batter all the way to the edges so that you leave room for the batter to expand and get fluffy (instead of compress and get gloppy / soggy). The whipped egg whites many recipes suggests, Stella says is not necessary if you leave enough room and your batter has enough moisture from the liquids (which most basic recipes do from its milk or water) to activate the explosive reaction. While I wasn't able to get it to crisp up in the waffle maker because the tiny guy couldn't generate enough heat, I was able to assist the waffle in browning by adding a tiny pinch of baking soda (another trick of Stella's) and finishing the mini waffles off in the oven at 350°F naked on the rack for 3-5 minutes just to crisp up. You could argue it's a fuss, to make another step but the truth is if you need the machine more than once to make more than one set of waffles (no matter what machine you're using), you need to keep the waffles warm anyways, so to me it's not an extra step. That is if you even care about having crispy waffles. I know some people who like their waffles soft instead of crispy.
There isn't a way to get around making one waffle at a time, except that for our meal, I make all the waffles first and put them in the oven so that they're ready to go. To be honest, if you're in such a rush when you cook and when you're in the kitchen, there's a bigger question you have to ask yourself: in the presence of an opportunity to learn and enjoy, through the path of mastery, why are you in such. a. damn. rush?! Like the Buddhist masters say, if you rush here, you probably rush there, you probably rush everywhere!

As a home cook who spends at least 3 hours everyday in the kitchen and reads extensively on food, restaurants, and cuisine, you could say I've developed enough knowledge to be sceptical of anything that claims to bring you happiness for less than $15. Especially when professional chefs and reviewers recommend alternative products in the same category that are 10-30x the price, pointing to the other machines’ abilities including (a) making many waffles at once (b) getting a crispier result (notes below on how to do so with this machine!). However, I must say this product has been a spark of light to evolve my jaded ways though, I couldn't be happier with it!

Very easy to use and much easier to clean than traditional larger ones. Comes with recipes which made 8 waffles in one batch. Could do with a longer handle but we used a wooden spoon to open and lift waffles out in one swoop.

It makes waffles that are roughly the same size as frozen Eggo waffles rather than massive ones that tend to be too much/filling for me.
The unit itself is very small and comes in a compact box for easy storage. The waffle maker itself can be a little tricky to tuck back into the box after opening.
The waffle maker is quite basic with no buttons. You plug it in and it starts warming up. There is a blue light on top that I believe indicates when it is ready to use (top temperature). To use you simply lift the lid at the lip, spray on some cooking oil onto both sides, pour your mixture, and then cook for about three minutes. Every waffle I made was thoroughly cooked and fluffy with no burnt bits!
The unit does get very hot and even using the lip to lift the lid can be an annoyance as that too gets warm. I ended up having to wrap my fingers in a small towel to lift the lid as a result of this which was kind of annoying. It’s also a bit annoying to clean since you obviously can’t submerge it in water. Instead you have to take soapy water and a cloth and wipe it down. Again, troublesome with all of the grooves.
Overall I love it and will probably make a ton of waffles to freeze and eat at ease and leisure. I do recommend this to anyone wanting smaller sized waffles or are new to waffle making, but just make sure you don’t burn yourself.

I’m a lazy cook when it comes to breakfast so usually I default to cereal or Eggo waffles. Homemade always tastes better so after reading tons of great reviews of this waffle maker I decided to buy it since it wasn’t overly expensive.

I had no idea what a small waffle maker could do for my life. LOL.

I had no idea what a small waffle maker could do for my life. LOL.
This has only one big flaw. The handle that sticks out in the front is either not big enough or just not designed well, so you can burn yourself trying to lift it. I either use a fork to knock it upwards after cooking (because it tends to stick a bit) or I use a mitten.
This silly little thing is perfect. It is so simple that it works almost solely because of that. The non-stick surface really is nonstick. Kind of critical with a waffle maker, so the waffles come off clean without scraping and scrubbing. It makes a waffle in about two minutes. About the time it takes to make my coffee.
The waffles look like an eggo, but they are oh so much better. Definitely, depending on the batter, as good or better than any at a pancake shop.
You plug it in, it warms up and the light goes off. You open it, spoon in about two tablespoons of batter, and close it. The light comes on and when it goes off, the waffle that comes out is wonderful.
Love this. I set it up and within one day I had more waffles than I have had in a year. Now I have them all the time. Great with tea, breakfast, coffee, dessert (ice cream, peanut butter, maple syrup....).
Now, about that weight problem...LOL.

Surpassed my expectations!
Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on April 30, 2018Colour Name: BlackVerified Purchase
Definitely one of the best purchases I have made on amazon so far. Just as described, it is a mini waffle-maker. The “mini” part is no joke, the whole thing is small enough to lift in one hand. If you are feeding breakfast to a whole family of five or more then this may not be for you. However, because of its size, it works quicker than a normal sized one so even though you can only make one small waffle at a time, each waffle should be done in about a minute or two. The interior is also non-stick so it is really easy to clean which was a huge bonus for me. On top of that, it comes with a little instruction panphlet that tells you how to use and and also include recipes and recipe ideas! Personally, I love it, it’s what I wanted and more.

Top half stopped working!!

First off, loved this product. I’m allergic to eggs so I decided to make my on waffles instead of buying them. So much cheaper. Can make a huge batch and freeze them. Each waffle cooked for 8 minutes and came out a beautiful golden brown.
Well fast forward a month and a half. I put waffle batter in, wait 8 minutes and go to take it out, the top is raw! The return window is closed and I’m pissed. I want to order another but don’t know if I really want to take the chance that it’ll happen again.
