I am currently on Day 11 for the FOURTH Time!!!! I am editing my original opinion from the 2nd time I was reading 100 Days. . . I finished reading each of the 100 daily motivational suggestions, then began again. . . ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!!! I have lost 53 pounds, and have been maintaining that loss for a good while. I am 63 years old, and have gone to Weight Watchers many times,as well as tried so many different diets, but have always had to lose the same weight again and again...maintenance being a major problem. For me, this is about emotional eating and offers so many positive suggestions about how to control my emotional eating. I try not to read ahead, and to faithfully read each day's entry. I have gone through multiple highlighters, and in addition to highlighting what I find to be important to me, I've been commenting on the pages; it has become a 'journey journal' of sorts, and I have never been a diary nor journal keeper. I find it very interesting to note the fourth time around what I wrote the first, second, and third times. I date and log my weight on the different days' entries. Some days I read the day's entry several times, and I go back to read over particularly effective entries on difficult 'sticking to my diet' days. I have bought this book through Amazon for 4 people who have told me they are struggling with weight loss. Three of them have also been successful with their diet efforts while reading 100 Days. The 4th person hasn't begun reading it yet. . . Oh, and you won't want to share your copy as you may also have written notes that may be personal, too. Linda Spangle has written an excellent 'go to' book for anyone who struggles with weight loss. To say the lease, I HIGHLY recommend this book...you won't be sorry.
Not sure why anyone would throw it in the trash. The book has you look at how you think and live. You decide where to go from there.
