I wouldn't reccomend this book if you're looking for advice on men and dating. Unless you're interested in someone explaining love in terms of an orgasm, repeatedly...
The Way of the Superior Man is a great book and it gives a lot of insight to both men and women, but Dear Lover falls short.
I got 4 chapters in, and every chapter was talking about the same thing in different wording and phrases. Once I noticed this I started getting really agitated, reading the same thing over and over. I skipped to the chapters in the middle, and then to the end, and sure enough it was still basically talking about the same thing in different wording! I felt like this book was just a scam to make money because The Way of the Superior Man did so well, that people would buy this without question.
It has a good message, but it wasn't as well thought out as The Way of the Superior Man.
Note - not just about sex, and not just for people in relationships. Actually, it's probably better for people NOT in relationships.
Also, very hetero based.
