Page-waster: cardboard, absolutely boring characters, and an implausible plot.I started skipping all the meaningless descriptions of what the characters wore and how they applied make-up! This is hopelessly amateurish and self-indulgent. And if your looking for genealogy fiction stay away. Check out Dan Waddell, Steve Robinson, Nathan Dylan Goodwin and M J Lee.

I am an avid mystery reader and "Death Finds a Way" kept me engrossed to the end. As a genealogist, I picked up some hints and tips about my own research too. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I highly recommend "Death Finds a Way".

I enjoy reading mysteries and was totally thrilled how genealogy research was linked to detective work. "Death Finds a Way" kept me engaged with the story right to the end. As a genealogist, I could relate to the character, scenes and some dialogue. I found myself remembering many a research trips and wishing for more. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I highly recommend "Death Finds a Way". Looking forward to the next book!

I just finished reading Lorine McGinnis Schulze's first novel Death Finds a Way, and I have to say that I did not want it to end. I wanted Janie to keep researching and interacting with the other characters in the novel, so I could keep reading! I think the author did a phenomenal job with her first book. I don't know much about genealogy but it did not matter. It was very interesting to learn while reading about how genealogy research is done. I don't usually read mystery novels but loved this one because it was easy to follow and had me guessing but not too much, enough so that my mind was engaged but not overwhelmed. I hope the next book is longer so I can stay in Janie's world a little longer too. She is a great character and I really came to be fond of Janie over the course of the book. She reminds me of a very good friend of mine so I felt very comfortable and at home with Janie. Reading this book was like curling up on the couch with a good friend. I look forward to the next...

As an avid reader of mystery novels, it is refreshing to find a new series with a unique protagonist, Janie Riley. As well as being treated to a good story, I learned a great deal about genealogy. Genealogists truly are master detectives. I'm looking forward to the next in the series.

Being an active genealogist, I bought this book. As I read I found a good mystery with a genealogy twist. I read this book quickly, the story is plausible and the characters are well developed.
I will be looking for more books by this author.
