I bought this book in 2011-12 and when I need a quick refresher course on typography and its fundamentals or when I’m seeking a new font and want to see how it has been used in Real Life then this is the book that I pick first. In a relatively small number of pages (160) Kristin Cullen has managed to cover the entire field of typography in five paragraphs: Type in Context — Essential Elements — On Typefaces — Typesetting factors — Structure. Quite a feat!

Published by Rockport, the book is elegantly designed, a semi hard, glossy, padded cover and a binding that is holding up very well, the print quality and paper are of excellent quality. This is a book worth having.

Thank you Kristin Cullen.
