Create Your Legend
Personalize and upgrade every aspect of how you look and fight with a nearly limitless combination of armor, weapons, and visual customizations. Take your upgraded character into every mode, including campaign, cooperative, social, public, and competitive multiplayer.

Master of the Frontier - Quick on the trigger and deadly with a blade, Hunters stalk battlefields as if they were hunting prey. Cunning and ruthless, they prize the undiscovered and prepare for the unexpected, channeling their powers by intuition and gut instinct.

Armored Engine of War - Their lightning-charged fists will knock you off your feet. Their armor and shields make them nearly invincible. We like to think they are our faceless knights, protecting us from our countless enemies. But their power and resolve gives them the air of rising Gods.

Wielder of Arcane Power - They've found a way to weaponize their curiosity, harnessing the Traveler's light in patterns never before imagined. Warlocks are not passive scholars of the unknown. These are mystic warriors, capable of incredible acts of devastation.

Competitive Multiplayer - Enter the Crucible to hone your competitive skills against other Guardians in arenas that span the solar system. Victory will earn you rewards and reputation.

On-Demand Adventure - Revisit the worlds you have discovered to aid the City in their exploration efforts, seek out valuable resources in order to upgrade your weapons and gear, and link up with other brave Guardians roaming the frontier in search of action and adventure.

Epic Campaign - Destiny features a rich, cinematic story, centered on your quest to discover and explore the remains of humanity's Golden Age. As a Guardian, you must venture beyond our walls, into a wild and dangerous frontier, and take the fight to ancient evil forces hell bent on our destruction.

Cooperative Multiplayer - Form a Fireteam, three Guardians strong. Infiltrate an enemy stronghold, cutting through wave after wave of enemy ranks emboldened by their fierce, battle-hardened leaders. Confront an enemy worthy of only the bravest Guardians.

Third Person Social Space - Home of the Guardians, the Tower is a third person social hub where you can regroup, rearm, and form new alliances before venturing beyond the safety of the City's walls.

Our home. After the Darkness swept over us, we found the Traveler where it made its last stand. Beneath, we built The City – our last – within its protective aura. From here, Guardians stand watch, defend our civilization, and strike out into the wild frontiers of Earth – and beyond – to reclaim our lost worlds.

What little we know of Mars may as well be a myth. We built a massive metropolis in the red dust. The Darkness swept nearly all of it away; the sand itself claimed the rest. No one knows what remains of our lost age, now buried beneath the dunes.

Like Earth, the ruins of humanity's former glory can be found scattered across the familiar lunar surface. Recent exploration attempts have been repulsed, reporting increased enemy activity, and even strange tectonic phenomenon. The City has since classified the Moon as a "Forbidden Zone," open only to our most brave and experienced Guardians.

Venus was once the site of great discovery – a paradise. Now, it is a monument to all that we have lost. The old stories say we built an academy dedicated to learning and research on the shore of a wondrous sea, and that the waters themselves boiled and rose up to shatter the coast, washing away all that we had built.

Few Guardians have faced Cabal and lived to tell the tale. They are a professional military operation. On every front we have found them on the march, they have already dug in and ringed their installations with razor wire. Now, it seems they've turned their eyes towards us.

Fallen are hardy creatures who can survive in a wide range of environments without heavy armor or complex modifications to their physiology. They travel light, hit hard, and are gone before you know it. Fallen may look like mere scavengers, but on closer inspection you will see hints of a splendid, sophisticated past, and the proud markings of their ancestral "Houses."

Hive manipulate the physical world in ways that we can only begin to imagine. The Hive have carved a kingdom deep into the lifeless core of the Moon, and it is there they remain, silent and buried among many dark and terrible secrets, a reminder of the tremendous power that brought forth the Collapse.

Scattered reports indicate that the Vex appear to be mass-produced machine units, constructed of an unknown metal alloy resembling hammered brass. All attempts to communicate with them have failed. They are hostile. They are unrelenting. They are deadly.

Destiny is yet another big budget AAA game that simply does not live up to the hype. It has a blend of FPS, RPG and MMO elements. The game looks great and the core game-play mechanics are solid. You chose one of three classes and level up your character and your gear. There's a story mode, co-op play and multiplayer.

What the game lacks is imagination and innovation. Bungie's previous work, Halo, has become iconic because of the memorable game world, the fleshed-out characters, the engaging story and the fun game-play. By comparison Destiny offers more variety in game-play elements, but is just so bland. The story is practically non-existent, the characters are barely developed and utterly forgettable and the entire world feels lifeless.

The story is, indeed, one of the weakest components of the game. For those who just want to grind and play some decent muti-player or co-op, you'll probably be more than satisfied.
Those of you looking for more will be left wanting.

You can level up your character to 20 through XP and then to 30 by acquiring better gear and upgrading it. That's where the real challenge starts and that's the part of the game that can become somewhat addictive. The extra content that has already started rolling out adds a lot to the game and thankfully there is a lot more planned because the Destiny world feels a little small or unfinished at the moment.

Don't get me wrong, there's fun to be had here, just don't expect anything earth shattering. And given that there really isn't much to play on the XBOX One at the moment, this can be a decent way to kill some time till the new games start rolling out.

should have done my homework better before pre-ordering it. i only like to play through the story solo, found this to be a MMO type of game, and very hard to engage to the character and the main story, other than just walk around and shoot...etc..
graphics are very nice though. like many have put it, overhyped!

The game looks amazing, runs very well (did not notice many dips in FPS) , and combat is a lot of fun as you start to level your character - however their is an absolute lack of lore for the worlds that you are in, with Bungie deciding to have all the lore OUTSIDE of the game through grimoire cards, the lack of context for why all the enemies are here wanting to eradicate humanity, the realization after you've been through two-three worlds out of the four that all the missions are fundamentally the same (think objective based horde mode),an absolutely atrocious loot reward system and an endgame that consists of multiple slow reputation grinds..

These problems have unfortunately brought down what could have been an otherwise amazing game, people feel the game is 'incomplete' or 'gutted' due to the lack of content and story, they are right. Here's hoping Bungie speeds up their '10 year plan' and release enough content and fixes to make this game to what it is meant to be.

Not bungie at all. No story line and way to repetitive game play. Lots and lots of things that don't work all promising to be fixed in three simple letters that fit with Activisions life style. D L C. Not buying it for sure cause that's a bit pathetic. Unless you like just shooting and that's all don't buy

I am such a fan. Wow what a great game. I'm a big fan of Bungie to start with. I think they make amazing games. I wasn't sure what to expect from this game. I didn't really read into it so I started it without knowing what to do. I spent a whole day playing it. I finished the story mission pretty fast, and I was a bit disappointed that it didn't last long.
I like the strike playlist. I think it is a fun way to play with your friends online. The game feels like a MMO. It's similar to Fable but less interactions with others. Overall I am quite happy with this game. I just cannot stop playing it since I got it. The graphics are beautiful.
Playing multiplayer wasn't so great for me. Most of the time the enemy team was over powered because they were all levels 30 and had better weapons.
Overall the game itself is fun.

I have been playing Destiny for several hours so far and I believe overall it accomplishes what it aims to achieve, which is a MMORPG/shooter that covers all the basics of an RPG but does not go further than that. If compared to an RPG such as Skyrim, Destiny falls extremely short (because it only has those basic elements), but if compared to a shooter such a Halo (because it does feel a lot like a Halo shooter), it has perfected and smoothed over combat and movement more so than I have seen with any other game. Every time you fire your weapon, jump, melee, etc, you feel the weightiness of yourself and anything else you are interacting with making it feel realistic.

Beautiful looking game, great gameplay, okay story (so far), and great multiplayer.

After sinking 72+ hours of my life into this game, I would like to point out a few issues I'm having with the game:

- Only allowing three members on a fireteam is limiting. Sometimes I want to play with one or two more people and then we aren't able to all play together. You're basically restricted to the Crucible and I'm not a huge PvP person. I wish the story missions would scale in difficulty more to allow for more people.

- No matchmaking for raids and daily/weekly missions. This is one of my biggest beefs with the game. The raid requires a total of six people to enter, but there is no matchmaking feature at all. This results in people being forced into spamming players in the Tower with party invites. And because of the lack of being able to easily communicate with other players that aren't in your party, it's just frustrating. A lot of my xbox friends are in other time zones or work different hours, so I can usually only get three or four people together, which isn't enough for a the raid and as a result, still haven't been able to do it. I REALLY hope Bungie fixes this in the future as it's extremely limiting for a lot of people.

- Not being able to skip cut scenes. Considering how often you revisit story missions in this game, this is just inexcusable and needs to be patched. And why can't all party members be in the cut scenes?

With all of that said, I'm still playing the game A LOT. It's not a revolutionary game or anything, but the gameplay is fun and it's a great game to play with your friends.

I'm really enjoying this game so far. The graphics are impressive, the soundtrack is great and the voice acting is _mostly_ good.
