Eminem: love him or hate him? It's no surprise that Slim Shady evokes such conflicted feelings--he's easy to champion and disparage alike, and this new D12 album doesn't make the decision any easier. Though hip-hop's pale wonder is now joined by his five, conspicuously black Detroit peers, this still sounds and feels like a Marshall Mathers project. The biting disses of MTV pop figures ("Ain't Nuttin' But Music")--still there. The dark journeys into faux psychosis ("American Psycho," "Devils Night")--still there. The big middle finger at conservatives, conformists, and critics ("That's How," "Purple Pills," "S*** Can Happen")--still there. And throw in Dr. Dre's production alongside Denaun Porter's lumbering funk tracks and Em's own beats, and this is basically the third Eminem album. Besides, he's still the most interesting of the six D12 members to listen to--slicker lyrics, better flow, and just a more engaging personality. Which, of course, is telling the listener to go to hell. Bottom line: If you liked the last two Eminem albums, this one won't disappoint. And if you hated the last two, at least you have the other D12 members to distract your attention. --Oliver Wang

I purchased a sealed copy of the limited edition bonus disc version, and it totalled at only about $10.00 including shipping/taxes, etc... I highly recommend buying this, it is without a doubt worth the price.

I honestly didn't know what to expect when I first bought this album. I had heard the song Purple Pills and I was feeling it. Eminem always drops a funny single before releasing an album. From the songs that I heard feat D12 on eminems other albums I thought that they were decent.
When I heard this album I was blown away by some of the songs on here. I figured I would be sittin through songs waiting for Eminems verse to drop and that wasnt the case at all. S*** Can Happen was a decent song to start off the album and I loved Pistol, Pistol. Nasty Mind is okay, and from their the album is off the hook songs such as, Ain't Nuttin But Music, American Psycho, Thats How, Fight Music, Instigator, Pimp Like Me, Devils Night, and Revelation are the Stand out songs and ALMOST THE ENTIRE ALBUM.
There is also Track 19 "Girls" that isnt listed on the track list where Eminem rips Limp Biscit and Whitey Ford (from Everlast).
For Eminem fans this is a must have, D-12 went past my expectations on this album and its a shame that they didnt get much credit for this great debut album. Go pick this album up, you wont be disappionted.

this is a pathetic attempt to copy esham's and natas style as hard detroit rappers. they named this album after a song on esham's helterskkkelter album, devil's night. a pity they couldnt diss esham and natas here because on esham and natas albums they completely destroy eminem and d12 and there lyrics are the best lyrics u will ever hear. d12 style is completely unoriginal so dont support these fakers. do not buy - check out these albums instead:
Esham - Closed Casket
Esham - Kkkill The Fetus
Esham - Dead Flowerz
Esham - Boomin Words From Hell
Esham - Judgement Day Vol 1 & 2
Natas - Doubelievengod
Natas - WWW.Com (Wicket World Wide)
Natas - Multikillionaire: The Devil's Contract
Natas - Life After Death
Natas - Blaz4me
Mastamind - Themindzi
all these albums are esham n natas' best albums (about half there albums) plus check out all there EP's they are all awesome too. dont buy this d12 garbage, support the original true underground who acid rap was invented by - ESHAM

D12 must be one of the most serious groups of rappers to emerge in years--and possibly
the most brilliant. Not since the days of Dr. Dre and the NWA have I heard flows similar
to those on this magnificent album from D12. Of all the rappers today only Eminem
himself is better than D12. One may in fact glimpse the spirit of D12 in the sinister
flows of solo Eminem. The flows on Devil's Night like those on The Eminem Show are swift and relentless and favor substance over style. Like Eminem the rappers of D12 stuff their lines with metaphor and alliteration, magic and meaning. The rappers focus on violence and so blood and murder pervade many descriptions throughout the album. Consider Swifty: "So Why Should I ever fear another man / If he bleeds like I bleed takes a ____ while he stand?" Of all the rappers in D12 Swifty is the best.
The flows of D12 in this album have a dark
tone and otherworldly mood. The effect is to create an atmosphere of melancholy and
doom in many songs. In the bloody vicious Detroit evoked by Devil's Night the rappers like so many people of all colors in this country search for dignity and courage. Sometimes amid the chaos they manage, whether by the grace of God or the power of friendship and decency, to find tiny glimmers of redemption.
