Product Description

Without the angel forcing him to brake, Liam could have killed the gorgeous girl who ran in front of his car to save a little boy. He owed the rescuer big time and would pay his debt no matter that she acted cranky and became more difficult with every meeting. After all, how hard could it be to walk a bunch of mangy mutts?

Men are scum and no one can tell Sadie any different. It’s why she stays away from them. Until a crazy, hotshot soldier runs her down with his convertible. Now she's stuck having to accept his help in her elite dog-walking business. Just her luck that some of the expensive pets go missing, and Liam decides the puppy-mill rumour needs to be investigated and those dogs have to be found.

HASH(0xa6177a44) out of 5 stars Must-Read for Dog Lovers! April 26 2012
By OnTheMark - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
If you love tongue-in-cheek paranormal romances, you'll love this story.
We all carry baggage from our childhood. Sadie cannot forgive or forget the taunting and abuse she endured as an overweight schoolgirl. She believes all members of the male species are jerks.
Liam's childhood demons feed on the shame he feels for his parents who shared a difficult and complex relationship. Traumatic experiences as a Special Forces operative in Iraq have only worsened his state of mind. He is a haunted man, plagued by shame, guilt and insomnia.
They struggle to help each other come to terms with their ghosts, aided by an unlikely guardian angel who looks like Johnny Depp, and a motley crew of whip smart dogs.
This seemingly light-hearted romance touches on deep-seated fears and nemeses that only love and forgiveness can counteract.
You will LOVE the ending of this story. And if you are a dog person, it's a must-read.

HASH(0xa6177a98) out of 5 stars "Laugh out loud" April 27 2012

His devious Angel by, Mimi Barbour

This is the type of story ereaders were made for, the kind you cannot put down. I laughed and cried and cracked up laughing. The hero wasn't an Alpha nor a beta, he was just right, which was refreshing.
The heroine was the perfect blend of the girl down the street and the women up the road. And if you own a dog you'll love this story.

If ever a book had a perfect ending this one had it.

This author will go on my "Do not miss list."

HASH(0xa6177d74) out of 5 stars Much love for Angels May 4 2012

I really enjoyed reading His Devious Angel, book 2 in the Angels with Attitudes series. It had moments of suspense (which I loved), the dogs (also loved) and funny moments between Sadie and her family. This book had me surprised a couple of times, good surprises though.

Sadie was quite the leading lady. I just wanted to hug her and tell her everything is ok and tell her you should be happy with who you are. I could relate well with the things she struggled with and why she had issues with men and her body. It's so refreshing to see heroines that aren't perfect. I liked her snarky kinda attitude in the beginning.

Liam, now that's a perfect name for a hunky hero. In the beginning he seemed kinda cocky and full of his self which is the kinda guy you really don't like. Which was actually a cover up to his issues that he was dealing with come from earlier in life like Sadie's but was entirely different. But he surprised me, turned out he was a hero a couple of. It was lovely watching the two of them come together and realize that they were perfect for each other.

HASH(0xa6177c6c) out of 5 stars a fun read June 24 2012

Overall I really liked this book, the only reason I didn't rate it higher is because I had two problems with Liam, the first is in how he treated his dad over something I didn't consider serious enough to warrant yrs of such treatment and second, considering he was Special Forces he should have been able to take control and make short work of a later situation. But on the flip side, I loved how the female characters were written, more than once I found myself laughing out loud.

HASH(0xa6177e58) out of 5 stars My Devious Angel May 11 2012

Liam O'Brien, a soldier on leave from Irag, is shocked to find a Johnny Depp look-alike , sitting in the back seat of his convertible. Unable to get rid of him, he comes to the conclusion that he is just a hallucination caused by sleeping pills. He steps on the gas and drives with reckless speed through a residential neighborhood. To his horror, he hits a young woman out jogging.
He tries to make amends but Sadie, the young woman, of course wants nothing to do with him. Nevertheless he gets caught up in her boisterous family and feels obliged to help Sadie with her dog-walking job. When a number of her dogs are stolen he finds himself involved in a dog-napping. He is forced to come to terms with his own emotional baggage and post-trauma from his war experiences. He is helped along by Johnny Depp who turns out to be an angel come to help him.
Sadie's dogs are hilarious and really pull the reader into their shenanigans and crises. By the end of the book Liam is a very satisfying hero!
