If you're into generalities and cliches, this is definitely the book for you! If you're looking for light overview without any actionable steps to execute, this one is definitely a winner. The sales pitch at the very end for WSI really rounds it out nicely.

But seriously, if you really want to learn about digital marketing strategies and techniques, skip this one. Grab a copy of Inbound Marketing by Brian Halligan and Dharmesh Shah or Duct Tape Marketing by John Jantsch. They not only give you detailed information, but provide actionable steps at the end of each chapter that you can start implementing right now. This book is nothing but a sales pitch for an agency.

This is an interesting book and covers all the main elements of digital marketing. The good thing about the book is that each chapter is written by somebody who fully understands the subject being covered. Also each chapter can be read separately, not in any particular order.
As is written at the beginning, it wasn't long ago that all businesses were advised to have a web site.Now, each business needs to be involved in social media.

One interesting change of the digital age is advertising.We read that advertising in the traditional way of press and broadcasting is declining while digital advertising is increasing. One of the reasons, as outlined in the book, is that digital marketing is very targetted.

Social media is well covered but because technology moves so quickly how do we know if sites like Facebook abd Twitter will still be leading.
