Works well but will it last?

Works well but will it last?
It works well enough for now and being able to point in multiple directions is necessary for my location. I do question the longevity of the build however as the brackets that separate the bowties from the back look like cheap plastic. The 4-bay I was using before appeared to have much sturdier construction. Also the cables that run to the splitter are very thin so I have to imagine the shielding is poor.

Had a similar antenna but not multi directional ... key is figuring out where the signals are coming from (try TVFool). I was in-between two core angles so my old antenna sacrificed one side for the other. With this antenna and a good preamp I was able to solve the issue and picked up another 7 channels (Mississauga by the Lake) ... up to 37 now. Great for the price. Would note both bays don't move independently only one does but not really an issue if you point the stationary arm one way and then move the free arm to the angle you need. Pretty Happy and did exactly what I expected.

It does the job and brings in a lot of channels and clear. Picked up approximately 27 channels. Easy to setup and install.
Its good because you adjust the wings in two different directions to grab as much air wave as possible.

Was slightly damaged during shipping but nothing major and quick fix.

Just keep in mind this Antenna needs a large post to brace the bottom and top. Does not come with center post as shown in the picture.

TV fool is an awesome tool to check all the available stations in the aria. I have it 15/18' up in the attic and it gets a good portion of the available stations. I should have it 25/30 & I believe this would get most at a clear picture. They do need to be 'pointed' in the general direction of the towers so you may need more bays for different directions.

In my location this was no better than the 4 bay unit I was using earlier. I switched to Channel Master 8 bay and got more channels.

Bought it for my son's place as he didn't want to pay for cable tv. Gets about 40 stations and he is very pleased with it. Going to buy one for myself next as I am using an old analog antenna with a couple of amplifiers and reception isn't as good. In Windsor, Onario.

Let me upgrade my thoughts of this piece of crap... What a rip off, the day after I ordered this piece of junk a local store is selling them for half the price an that is still a rip off,,, I set this piece of crap up an no matter what direction I face it it only gets 2 channels 1 from Buffalo (BOUNCE 23-2) an 1 from somewhere in New York State (WNLO-HD 23-1), It doesn't get any channels from anywhere in Ontario, where Toronto is half way to Buffalo as the crow flies, Peterborough even less the distance from me then Toronto is, I might did out my inverter / converter box with amplifier that I bought for my old analog TV,,,, just to see if this piece of junk antenna will pull in more then those 2 channel's.
Updated section... When I was trying this piece of crap out, I said it was only pulling in 2 channels,, my mistake, at the time I also had my 2 Clear TV Digital Antenna's hooked in to my TV and it was them 2 antenna's that were pulling in those 2 channels, I took them off my TV so I only had this junk hooked to my TV,, I've tried it with the bays folded to 90 degrees all the way to flat and facing every direction and if it was facing the general area of Bonce TV's location it pulled in the same 2 channels... and facing in another direction it got another single channel ,, in another direction it pulled in 5 channels 1 was a stupid radio channel the others were all pix-elated an could not be watched,,,, I then hooked it to my converter box an amplifier an tried it again in all directions and again got mostly $#!t for channels ,,,I found a direction were I got a few American channels when I did a auto channel scan so I left it be since I was getting worn out going in an out back an forth with MS my mobility wears out fast, so I left it for the night, in the morning the channels were gone an could not find them again,,, This POS says it's multi directional,,, WHAT A FRIGGING JOKE THAT IS,,, The only info / instructions that came with it were a few simple pictures / sketches that did not really show much at all and definitely did not have any literature saying anything about what side gets the signals better,, I found out after lots of testing aiming an re-aiming it to find channels in all directions the side with the X's (wires that look like the letter X) seems to be the better side for getting the very few channels this POS will bring in,,, and since it is not multi direction all it will need to be turned / rotated to get other channels,,, I tried it umpteen times to pull in a channel that is not far from me and all other antenna's brought it in clear as a bell with super strong signal an great reception,,,, And this POS did not pull it in an I am not that far from it as the crow flies,,, this was a big rip off in my honest opinion
