Product Description

Feeling dead in her marriage, Elizabeth Fairchild ditches the dream of her seemingly perfect life with her husband in search of who she really is.

She went from her parents' house to her husband's home and never really learned to stand on her own two feet. She decides to leave her comfortable life in Napa Valley in search of her inner fire in New York City. She certainly didn't leave her husband to find another man, but she soon finds herself involved with two: Jack Stevens and Kevin Parker.

Jack is older. He has heart-stopping good looks, is wildly successful, and is very much in control of everything around him - especially Elizabeth.
Kevin is younger. He is carefree with a heart of gold and loves Elizabeth's spunk.

While Elizabeth's old life still calls to her, she also finds what she needs in New York. But which dream will she choose?

AMAZING! BRILLIANT! ORIGINAL! I was eagerly waiting for the release of this book and it did not disappoint. I don't know where to begin. I loved the fact that the main character was in her 40s and I think sooo many women can relate to this story. Whether you are a happily married, divorced, or single woman you will be able to relate. Everyone dreams of just running away at one point or another to start over and wonders what if....
Elizabeth leaves her life behind and runs to NYC to see if she can stand on her own two feet and start living. She has always put everyone's needs before hers and didn't know who "she" was. In NYC she discovers herself and starts making a life for herself.
I felt a little for Greg but at the same time he made me frustrated at times...he just didn't get it! I loved Kevin but oh how I loooooooooved Jack!!! I felt for Elizabeth too and I wanted her to find happiness.
I don't want to give anything away but I dreamed of a different ending for Elizabeth/Beth. I can't wait to read more from this author.

When all else fails, a clean slate may be the only option

How many of us have seen our parents struggle to find themselves and get used to an empty and quiet home after we’ve left the ‘nest’? I know my parents spent a few years trying to schedule awkward dates together or making suppers too big for two people forgetting my sister and I weren’t living at home anymore. Being able to understand Elizabeth’s feeling of never having learned how to have stood on her own is understandable, and what’s more shocking is how she was able to leave and move to New York City after 20 years of marriage. It’s always easier to tell a friend to leave their significant other if they’re unhappy, but try doing it for yourself if you’re truly unhappy and you’ll find your feet weighing more than lead and steel. Considering this a first book in a series, for the Dream Series, it was a quiet book, letting readers the chance to get to know the main characters – Elizabeth, Kevin and Jack.

This has to be one of the best books I have ever read. First of all, the main heroine, I call her that because to me she is, is a "normal" everyday housewife. I loved that she was older, my age 42, and was not fresh, perky and just graduated college. I am sure very woman who has lived her years can relate to Elizabeth. She has come to the realization that she has lost herself. Her kids are gone away, husband works all the time, no sex life and alone. She decides to leave her husband and find the girl she never was allowed to be....and she ROCKS IT!!! She meets 2 men, complete opposites, one older than her Jack and one younger Kevin but both utterly attracted to her for everything she is. Meanwhile at home is a husband that doesn't understand what is so wrong with the life she has. She gets to explore and finds the fire that every woman knows is in her. She has some tough choices to make. My heart raced, I laughed like a fool and felt like I was taking this journey with her. Seriously, you do not want to pass this up, especially of you are a woman in the prime of your life ;)

Wow! Where do I start with this book? I'm not sure exactly what I was expecting with this book, but it ended up being so much more!

Like so many others that have posted reviews I also thought it was going to be your typical erotic storyline. This ended up being so much more. It definitely had hot, steamy sex but the storyline was also not the typical young 20-somethings. This was a story about grown-ups and grown-up feelings. The writing was done very well and the author did a great job with descriptions of places and people and you really felt like you were there. The writing from Elizabeth's point-of-view really made it easy to identify with and you really find yourself just as torn on what choices to make as she was.

Without giving anything away, I have to say that I was on the other team than the one she chose. Cannot wait for the next book and to see what happens!
