Product Description

From thriller and suspense master Brett Battles comes Down, the final book in the Project Eden saga.

Matt Hamilton’s last words have led Daniel Ash and his team to the snow-covered town of Everton, Vermont. On a field just outside city limits sits an unassuming hut.

But this is no innocent building. Inside is the entrance to the secret Project Eden base known as Dream Sky, the key to the Project’s success. Or its defeat, as Ash hopes.

To give the team the best chance to succeed, Resistance groups have moved into position outside Project installations around the globe. The purpose: to create diversions that will draw Project attention away from Dream Sky.

These groups have been waiting for the signal to attack. The wait is over.

Dream Sky is best read after completing volumes 1-6 (Sick, Exit 9, Pale Horse, Ashes, Eden Rising, and Dream Sky)

Praise for the Project Eden Thrillers

“Sick didn’t just hook me. It hit me with a devastating uppercut on every primal level—as a parent, a father, and a human being.”—Blake Crouch, author of Run

“[A] gem of an outbreak story that unfolds like a thriller movie and never lets up, all the way to the last page. Absolutely my favorite kind of story!”—John Maberry, New York Times bestselling author

“[Sick] not only grabs you by the throat, but by the heart and gut as well, and by the time you finish you feel as if you've just taken a runaway train through dangerous territory. Buy these books now. You won't regret it.”—Robert Browne, best selling author of Trial Junkies

“You think Battles was badass before? He just cranked it up to 500 joules. CLEAR!”—

“Brett Battles at his best, a thriller that also chills, with a secret at its core that's almost too scary to be contained within the covers of a book.”—Tim Hallinan, author of the Edgar-nominated The Queen of Patpong

Once again I have been immersed in the struggles against Project Eden. Brett Battles characters and writing have stood up through all 7 books and as always with an excellent series the last book is bittersweet. I devoured it quickly while knowing the end was coming. I highly recommend the entire series! Excellent all around.

I stumbled across the first project eden book (SICK) one night while scanning through Amazon. I saw it had a cool cover and a bunch of good reviews so I said f.'k it I'll give a try. Well seven books later and I can honestly say Brett Battles is one of my top five authors and I loved every project eden book even his other books with Quinn. But what started it for me was reading SICK. AWESOME adventure thanks B Battles for ten hours of reading enjoyment. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍✌️

I am definitely sorry to see the Project Eden series end and I sincerely hope that someone in the movie business takes a long hard look at this series as it would make a great movie or even mini-series! Brett Battles, once again, delivers on his promise to keep his readers happy. I was especially pleased with the way he brought the characters full circle and didn't leave any loose ends as he has always been able to engage the reader in the characters early on in his books. Looking forward to the next series!

HASH(0xa07524ec) out of 5 stars Sorry to see the end Nov. 28 2014

Brett Battles ended the series quite nicely. He ended all of the main story lines. Tied up most of the loose ends. (I'd really like to know what little girl Chloe vaguely remembered when her memory first started returning.) He promised retribution for the billions that were murdered. He acknowledged the future wasn't going to be easy, but there was hope. And finally, I liked the way Belinda Ramsey's manuscript started. Best possible ending, in my opinion.

I'm gearing up to read the series from start to finish. I think I'll enjoy it as a mega-book just as much as I did a series. There really isn't one boring moment in the entire script.

I'll vote yes for a sequel, only because I want to see what Brett Battles can do with a post-apocalyptic survival book.

HASH(0xa07527e0) out of 5 stars Brilliant series! April 15 2015

The world population is down to just over seven hundred million in the months since Project Eden’s implementation day and the release of the Sage Flu virus from specific points across the world. Daniel Ash and Chloe White have learned what Matt Hamilton’s last words meant; Dream Sky is Project Eden’s top secret base and the one they need to neutralise in order to stop the Project once and for all.

Working in conjunction with each other, individual groups from the Resistance are targeting Project Eden facilities with the purpose of giving Ash, Chloe and their team the chance to take Dream Sky. Robert and Estella from Isabella Island are part of the team in Everton, Vermont at Dream Sky. Sanjay, Kusum and Darshana in Jaipur, India, working in direct contact with the Resistance headquarters in the US, play their very important part in the drama. In Cairo, Miami, Berlin, Shanghai, Madrid, Tokyo and Guangzhou in China the teams rescue survivors and destroy installations. Pax, Gabriel and Nyla are in Los Angeles after liberating the survivors centre there.

But what the Ash and the team find at Dream Sky defies belief… and Chloe begins to remember…

I really enjoy the way the narrative spends time with each group, building up the tension and moving the story along while giving an overview of everything that’s happening. The storylines are all brought together wonderfully in this final episode with no loose ends. The characters are authentic and engaging, as they have been throughout, the books so well written and with a succession of really good action sequences.

This is an extremely tense and exciting series that kept the suspense going throughout, and is one that I’ll definitely revisit. It’s a realistic, if utterly chilling and very sad, sequence of events which lead to an enormous question. How do you restart humanity?

If you’re a fan of the genre it comes highly recommended, MacLeod Andrews does an amazing job with the pacing, voices, accents and expressing the mood of the narrative.
