But you can find it everywhere for 30% cheaper so I cannot justify buying it on Amazon anymore. You guys need to drop the price. There is no justification for the markup.
For two dispensers, bathroom and kitchen, and a lot of hand washing, one bottle lasts about 10 months. For less of a neat freak and germophobe maybe it would last a year.
I also intend to make bubble bath with this product (1 Tbsp for this soap to 5 drops of essential oils) but I have not yet gotten around to trying it. I am sure it will be great though. Very good product.
Also wonderful in the shaving cream I make.
Recently I found that it's a GREAT all natural laundry pre-treater. I found it worked wonderfully to pour some into a little container, brush on with a little toothbrush and rub in with the brush. Wait half an hour, throw into the machine, and the stains were completely gone as if they never existed.
So many things it can do well!
This stuff, its like dawn, but not horrible for the enviroment, you only need a tiny amount, its gentle on the skin, and it just works. I bought a 32oz, and I just got a small nalgene from the mountain coop and I fill that to avoid carrying the whole bottle.
I'll buy a gallon in 20 years when this one runs out...
I tried the diluted version as a shampoo and body wash but it left a very tacky feeling - their website does have a guide on transitioning from regular shampoo as well as some common other procedures involving for example coconut oil or apple cider vinegar. I didn't like the way it felt on my skin as a body wash anyway so I just stopped using it for these purposes - I gave it about two weeks.
I've also tried this as a dish detergent and due to the watery consistency, I had a hard time removing general amounts of grease from dishes/pans...etc. Maybe I added too much water - it was difficult to use with a pump which is what is most convenient for me in the kitchen. This is also why it didn't work best as a hand soap for me either. I opted for eco max dish detergents instead, which is a good alternative to the big box ones.
It leaves your hair slimy after trying it as a shampoo. It leaves an oily substance behind on dishes even after serious rinsing. Sinks and drains end up with more build up than almost any other soap I've tried.
I'm all for organic stuff when it works but this was a waste of money to me. I won't be buying it again.
