This is a good game, and I'm glad I got it. However, I, like many others, didn't get the preorder bonuses, which sucks, since it played a factor in preordering on Amazon.

In terms of a Dragon Ball Z game, this one has more content then you could ever hope for. An almost complete cast of fighters and support characters that you unlock through play, a collection of story modes, tournament mode, adventure mode (how you unlock most things), multiplayer and even options for DLC through codes. The game looks great, sounds pretty, as more play options than you could ever hope for, but pretty quickly falls short when you start to play it.

In terms of Technical Fighting, this game lacks by construction play around chaining combos with the two physical attack buttons. You also have Chi charge metre that when filled allows you to chain super moves on the ends of your combos. Perhaps Capcom has spoiled us with the option to just use your super combo as you like when you have powered up enough, but having to chain my full powered Hell Grenade after 5-6 six other hits that are the same every single time I use them, stops being fun quick. Certainly seeing the dramatic cut scene for each move is great fan service, and again looks so great, and the fact that there are so many characters also makes this an engaging practice (if you can mange to unlock them all), but when all is said and done the process gets boring quick. Presently the only thing that keeps me playing is the unlocks because there are simply so many and I am a completionist. When you get down to it, though the presentation of this game is amazing and it showcases some of the most beautiful anime style gameplay on the 3DS to date, the game itself just isn't fun. I recommend it to any Dragon Ball Z fan, but warn you that this is big on style and low and playing substance.

Great game! Terrible customer service on Amazon's part. No codes given for extra content. When I finally get my codes, they don't work and they have instructions for entering the codes as told if you are to input them on a Playstation.

Those that pre-ordered this game got nothing. Even the pictures advertising the content of what was to be received for pre-ordering have been removed. Disappointed about that.

Get this product for what it is. A fast paced dbz game littered with cameos and unlockables. For those that complained about there being only 25 playable charaters, ask yourself...Is Babadi someone YOU wanna play as? How about Dodoria? Exactly! The only characters that are worth playing as are the mainstays of the series. Yes, SSJ4 Vegeta would be fun, but when you pull characters into that category, its messy. And OP characters arent that fun when a battle ends in seconds.

Buy it, just not from here.

"Over 100 characters from the Dragon Ball Z universe" is what got me interested in this game...but then what you don't know is that almost all of them aren't even playable. I was excited for this game because the artwork looked really cool, and the animation is actually good, as per Arc System's usually style, but it's not as deep or complex as their other games. Also you look forward to playing as a bunch of the character versions from the show/movies but around 80% of the characters in the game are for assist moves only. I hope this gets a sequel with more characters and a bit more variety, otherwise it's a very shallow game that just happens to look pretty good.

I personally like the game. Their are a few characters that I wish I could play as but their in the Z assist. The controlls can take a bit getting used to but they are the same for every character. Once you master them then you have mastered the characters. The characters have there own special move when you have enough energy which is nice because it could get boring watching all the characters use the same special moves . The 2d graphics are a nice touch.
