Product Description

It's here! The second installment in the USA Today bestselling series, MC Sinners Next Gen. This book can be read as a standalone.

They say opposites attract. In my world that isn’t a good thing.
I did everything I could to escape the grips of motorcycle club I grew up in when I turned twenty-one.
It wasn’t about fear, or betrayal, or even lack of love. I just needed my own life.
I had to know how it felt to stand on my own two feet without their protection.
Then I met Diesel. Mysterious, dark, with eyes that screamed to be understood.
From the second I met him, I knew I needed to be in his life.
There’s just one problem – he’s a member of a different motorcycle club.
Two things that should never be combined. Yet I can’t stay away.
No matter how hard he pushes. I can see beyond his mask.
I need to know who he is and I’ll overcome any obstacle to be in his life.
A friendship is born, followed by an epic love.
Our relationship is forbidden.
But I’ll do anything to be in his life.

This book contains mature themes.

I LOVE the story of Diesel and Mercedes. The next generation of Sinners indeed. I remember reading about Diesel as a baby and WOW has he grown into a yummy mass of maleness. I enjoyed the strength of character that Mercedes showed in the face of the bullying by Diesel's ex. Fanning self at the steam pouring off the kindle.

Title: Drifter
Author: Bella Jewel
Stars: 5

I usually don't read biker/club kind of books. Once in a awhile I will venture into to one that will interest me with a great blurb from an amazing author. One of my blogger friends encouraged me to read this series and that it was also very good. Well I listened to her and she was right. I devoured this 5 star book in a matter of only hours.

ARC of Drifter from Bella Jewel provided in exchange for an honest and spoiler free review.

I want to precise that this story is about the bikers kids, they just want to live normal lives apart from their parents who happens to be in a club. That's what interested me to read this story in the first place. It's about Mercedes who goes to college and falls for the brooding Diesel. She's a 21 year old who wants to make her own choices and be free. That's all I'm going to say without revealing the many twists and turns for this highly addictive story.

Once I started reading I just couldn't put it down for very long because it's engaging and it suck me right in. I love the way it's written, it's not overly rough and crassly played out. The storyline was perfectly crafted with amazing characters that were just right for this kind of story. The ideas flow nicely. There is no doubt that there were a lot going on all at once. But never did I feel that it was overly dramatic or done just for the sake of it. Every scene in this story complimented the storyline.

Story told in Mercedes POV only, but I was able to get a good feel from Diesel. I strongly recommend this story. I've read quite a few books from Bella and what I've read so far are worth your precious time and money.

I love MC books hard and Bella is one of my favourite MC authors...
Loved Diesel and Mercedes together..sweet and sour. She was his light..and she seen his inner beauty and the MC men, their alpha ways, their dirty talk and protectiveness...
Loved everything about this book...and series...anxiously awaiting more already.

HASH(0xa0e545ac) out of 5 stars Was hoping for more from all of the characters. Spike was just a hothead dad and did not impress me. March 26 2016

Mercedes meets Diesel when she sees his band play and goes backstage to meet him. Diesel blows her off and Mercedes does not take it well. Diesel is unimpressed with his fans and has no interest in anything Mercedes has to offer. She tells him off and thinks she will never see him again. Lo and behold, they attend the same college and she has him in one of her classes. Diesel ignores her and Mercedes, again, tells him off. Mercedes is 21 and still being controlled by her parents and their Club. Mercedes finds out that Diesel belongs to a different club and doesn't let him know about her life. Things blow up and, as always, the truth comes out. Where this book lost me was the immature way Mercedes and Diesel both handled things. Instead of sticking to her guns and having a conversation with her father (Spike) she shouts and cries. Instead of Spike listening he shouts and has her mother and everyone telling her she is wrong. Several times in this book someone is put in danger because of the Club and Spike still tries to tell her that he knows what is best for her. Diesel was not easy to like in the beginning and the way Mercedes allowed him to treat her was not endearing. Although she did stick up for herself with Maxine, it would have been nice if Diesel didn't allow it to happen in the first place. The amount of time she missed at school was appalling and, even though she supposedly had a job you didn't see her at it often. I would have like to have seen more interaction between Mercedes and Diesel prior to him going from not liking her to him deciding she wasn't so bad. Overall an okay read but there were some timeline issues.

I hate writing reviews like this but I want to be honest. This is a very weak MC book. The main characters have no chemistry and the MC clubs are weak. The main characters are in their 20's and act like they are in junior high. The author has a bullying issue in the story that is a good storyline. It just disappeared in the middle of the book. Never resolved. Their is a threat to the characters in the book but they run off (even though they are in danger) and end up getting hurt. The readers are told the threat was taken care of. That's it they ride off and took care of it. We don't find out who was threatening them or why they were threatening them. Mercedes is portrayed as an emotionally weak character. She can't handle small verbal fights with anyone. Diesel was portrayed as an immature boy. The author could have done so much with this story. I am disappointed with the whole MC Sinners Next Gen. Series so far. I have read almost everything this author has written and I am loosing faith in this author.

HASH(0xa0e547bc) out of 5 stars Disappointing March 23 2016
By Elena Schneider - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
This book was highly disappointing to me. I was super excited to read this but once I actually got my hands on it, it took me days to finish it (I usually take a day to finish a book) because I had to force myself to actually keep reading it. The story was slow and honestly boring, especially compared to the other books by this author. I had to remind myself more than once than this couple was in college and not high school because of how immature they were. I also want to point how there's usually not much bullying in college- another time I had to remind myself this couple was supposed to be 21 and not 16. The sex scenes were weak and it took almost the entire book for the two characters to get together- I don't have a problem with building romances but there wasn't much else going on. I hated Diesel, not an alpha male (which this author is known to write about) and honestly just a weak jerk. He kept dating the girl who was bullying Mercedes throughout the book and it took him forever to actually do something about it. The small conflicts that arose in the book were solved quickly and the author never let the readers know how they were solved. I'm praying we get Danny and Skye's book next and I'm hoping it's not as disappointing as this one. If I have to wait a longer amount of time for the next one, I'm ok with that, this book was obviously rushed.

HASH(0xa0e54cb4) out of 5 stars loved it ! March 21 2016

Any book that I see Bella Jewel's name on I know I'm going to be in for one hell of a read.

Drifter is book two in the MC Sinners Next Generation Series following the lives of the kids to the beloved characters from the Jokers Wrath & Hell's Knights. You see so much of their parents in the children that is really eerie and will love being able to see where they all are now.

This novel touched upon so many important issues and the way the author guided the reader through the trials and tribulations the characters experienced was awe inspiring and courageous.

Drifter is all about Mercedes ( Spike's daughter from Hell's Knights ) She is spunky, smart, brave and beautiful inside and out. Navigating College life is difficult for any young adult, you would think however it would be a piece of cake for a biker's daughter who would be immune to the hardships. Mercy however learns from early on into college life that the real world is cruel, unforgiving and dangerous.

Diesel is the lead singer of Wrath. His voice melts the panties right off and his stark stare will leave you shaking in your boots and not in a good way. An enigma onto his self Diesel is much more than the sexy broody front man.

Mercy and Diesel do NOT hit it off when they first meet however there's an undeniable pull. Through time, tenacity and patience Mercedes breaks down walls, barriers and yes threats.

Their relationship would never of worked they thought. As you get deeper and deeper into the story you'll see why but you will also see that they are the only ones who can and will ultimately change the other lives.

This was a powerful, moving and passionate read, about one girl finding her own voice, one man finding his other half and a family yet again showing the power of love will always overcome all.

HASH(0xa0e54fa8) out of 5 stars I felt like I was stuck in an after school special. March 22 2016

I went into this book with high hopes since I’ve liked her other “biker” books, but this one missed the mark for me. I felt like I was stuck in an after school special about first love and high school shenanigans. First off, the female character, Mercedes, is obsessed with becoming friends with a guy named Diesel to the point that it’s annoying to the reader as well as Diesel. Every time she’s around him she's babbling about how “you like me”, “we’re going to be great friends”, “we may even become best friends”. Then there’s Diesel’s current girlfriend who thinks she’s a blessing to anyone who comes in contact with her and she’s always doing nasty, bullying, high school things to Mercedes. Mercedes meets Diesel’s family, and that which is his extended biker family, and they immediately welcome her in like she’s a long lost child. But she won’t tell them she comes from a biker family of another club out of fear she’ll lose Diesel as a friend.

...STOP!!!!!!... I just can’t!

Maybe the author is trying to attract a younger, next generation of MC novel readers. I don’t know. But this book was nothing of what I expected. I give it 2 stars.
