HASH(0xa7f2ab88) out of 5 stars Great resource, but not for Kindle July 1 2013
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
I bought the Kindle edition of this book and immediately returned it. There is no way to readily go to
the monograph on a particular drug. You can do a painfully slow search and bring up every instance where that drug appears in the book but you can't just, for instance, go to the "C's" and bring up "Codeine." The index is there but no page numbers. Totally unusable. I went to Skyscape, a seller I am not particularly fond of, and paid $20 more, but have a totally usable product. I found this same concern with "Williams Obstetrics" for Kindle but kept it because I got a good price and being able to bring up a subject very rapidly is not as much of a concern.

I'm a Psychiatrist and I buy each new edition of this book. Indispensable reference. Very complete, easy to quickly review for pertinent information, and online version is fairly easy to navigate.

HASH(0xa7f2ad98) out of 5 stars ... to be a small pocket sized book which I good keep at the bedside i April 10 2015
By Lois E. Brenneman, MSN, FNP - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
I thought this was going to be a small pocket sized book which I good keep at the bedside i.e. in my lab pocket or on the computer as I am seeing patients. It is absolutely NOT so. It is a HUGE volume - just about as big textbooks get. It would be much quicker to simply open up another window on the computer and look up the drug in question while in the exam room with the patient. I can't think of when I would ever have time to run back to the my office, drag out this very heavy volume, look up a drug and then run back into the patient's exam room. I am glad I only paid $2.04 for this volume which was - even at that - certainly a total waste of money esp given there was shipping surcharge of $3.99. It would be useful for a hospital PharmD who has a bookshelf near the phone so as to field questions from providers. If, however, you have in mind a quick and handy reference to look up the pregnancy or lactation category of a drug you have in mind to prescribe for the patient sitting across from you, forget it. In that case, this book is most definitely not for you.
HASH(0xa7f300a8) out of 5 stars Very Happy with the Delivery: Drugs in Pregnancy and Lactation Dec 20 2013

I've been looking for this book for a while now and I have ordered from Turkey. I encountered no problems with the shipping system. The order came within the estimated time range. It is in great shape, no dents or any other kinds of tears on the hardcover.
Thank you very much.

I would highly recommend this book as a resource in the Urgent/Emergency care setting. It is easy to use, fairly comprehensive, and facilitates the treatment of pregnant patients.
