I absolutely LOVE this entire set. Each item is extremely useful and so easy to use. I purchased this set and on arrival there were a few flaws but I still was very happy with how it looked on my refrigerator. I received a follow up email on the product and mentioned the issues I had with my set. Like lighting speed, I was quickly taken care of by Rebecca! I would like to express my appreciation for her outstanding Customer Service and her upbeat attitude! I really enjoyed her. She is the type of person you would become quick friends with and she treated me so kindly. Thank you Rebecca for going above and beyond anything I could have ever asked of you!
The actual product is EXTREMELY handy and looks so fun on my refrigerator! The set of pens work very well and they wipe off completely. I haven't had any issues whatsoever with mine. I use my glass cleaner (Walmart Great Value) and a paper towel (Kirkland) and it looks beautiful each and every time. I have always loved using a regular calendar and jotting down my shopping list (I tend to be a creature of habit). I never use my calendar on my iPhone because I like to write it out and I'm a visual. With how busy life gets, plans always changing.... I can just wipe it off and change my day! I don't have a ton of scribbled out days on my regular calendar! That drove me bonkers because it always looked messy! This is muuuuuch easier and also keeps it looking nice and organized. I can be a perfectionist so I'm happy to toss out my old calendar! The set of dry erase markers are a plus! This was one of the main reason I purchased this set- so I wouldn't have to buy extra markers and make sure to buy the magnetic kind. This set takes out the work of finding each piece. The colors are bright and I like the color selection. Very handy that they are magnetic as well. I don't need to put them on the counter, they have a spot right next to my other boards. (I also have a Meal Planner board next to my Calendar/Shooping List and I use these pens on it. The colors help differentiate the foods/meals which is easy for everyone to understand.) The shopping list is very cool! I've never been a fan of the layout but I am actually finding that it saves me time from sorting out items that our family needs. Again, just wipe it off once I purchase the item! In my opinion, this set is a steal of a deal at only $15 bucks! I wish I had one years ago. Worth every penny!
Below is an email I sent to Rebecca after her second follow up with my replacement. I forgot to mention that my item had flaws because it was shipped in a box that wasn't sized appropriatly. Had it been in the correct size box I wouldn't have had any issues. I believe that is the wearhouse fault but I don't know for sure. Excellent products! Outstanding price! I saw this calendar set and the weekday set from this brand while looking for a dry erase calendar to replace ours that got irreparably scratched during a move. They had a special at the time, for a percentage off if you bought multiple items from the store, (it showed up right at the add to cart area, not sure if it’s still there) and honestly, I was desperate to get us more organized.
I put this set and 3 of the weekday dry erase set in my cart. *Yes, 3! 🤭* One each for my son, my husband, and me - to use for chores/to-do lists.
I mulled it over for a bit before ordering. Finally I thought, “What do I have to lose? I can return them...” and went ahead and ordered. I’m so glad I did.
To me, this is much more convenient than the kind I had before with a big, heavy, wooden frame. I like that it doesn’t need to be hung on a wall. That way it doesn’t waste wall space that could be used for decor or other things.
I also like that it’s thin. The edges don’t rub on your hand and hurt when you are trying to write on it. And it’s light enough, with a strong enough magnet that even with a child closing the fridge door pretty harshly it has never slipped or moved in the slightest.
The bonus grocery list that comes with this calendar ended up being more useful than the calendar in our house! It’s so convenient as soon as you realize you’re low on something to just run real quick to the fridge and write it in it’s appropriate category. Then we just take a pic on the way out the door or jot down the contents in our notes app real quick.
The included markers are very nice. They have a nice, fine-tip enabling smaller writing, making the most of the space. They also feature a built in eraser on the cap, AND have a magnet on the cap as well for convenient hanging right on the fridge!
Since I ordered 3 of the weekday sets along with this calendar set I ended up with 4 sets of markers, a pretty good sample size for marker quality judgement, I’d say. I only had a problem with one marker’s magnet not being strong enough to hold it in place. You can see that in my picture. That one marker slides a little down the fridge but since I have a few sets, I’m not really that concerned about it. Otherwise, they all seem equal in quality.
My biggest tip is make sure you remove it when you go to clean your fridge doors so you don’t end up accidentally getting the wrong kind of cleaner on it. I’ve learned from experience getting the wrong kind of cleaner on a dry erase surface can ruin it forever. The marker just won’t erase anymore. So I just take them down real quick to clean the doors and put them back up. And take care to not get greasy hands on the surface.
I haven’t had to clean them with a cleaner yet, the markers erase really well with the little erasers built into the marker caps. When I do have to clean them, I keep the expo whiteboard cleaner spray around for our other white boards and I’d recommend it to all of you as well.
So far, I HIGHLY recommend this and the weekday set from this brand! I’ll update if I have any problems later on.
