I can play games at max setting and not care about anything else. This card is paired with an i7 7700k.
CSGO - Max FPS on max ranging 800-999 (I had uncapped the frames)
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege 100-366 FPS
Minecraft Max fps 2580 FPS average between 1000-2580 FPS
Grand Theft Auto 74 FPS on Ultra Settings
BeamNG.Drive 100-200 FPS High to Ultra
Skyrim is capped but I can get above 60 FPS. This game is running on Ultra Setting
I have included some of my benchmarks that I ran. Every game I ran was on High to Ultra
- Great performance with every game I play at 1440p
- The card is modestly sized, not a big deal because I have a big case, but for someone with a smaller mid-tower that could be important
- Runs cool with a custom fan curve, hardly ever goes over 65c, even on hot days.
- Price (was $515 when I got it)
- Not covered with tons of useless RGB LED's.
- Cannot turn off LED's without EVGA software, which you must register on their site to download.
- A little on the pricey side (I remember that days when the top of the line GPU's where $500)
To summarize it's a great value card but if your local mail system is rough with your deliveries it might not be the safest purchase.
Didn't mean to show off my build. >:,D
Auto boosts to 1900mhz+
Keeps pretty cool in my corsair 450D
Not loud at most fan speeds
No coil whine until like 1000fps+(in some games' menus)
Comes with a 2x6pin to 1x8pin connector, Driver DVD, Adhesive EVGA badge, large poster of a knight wielding a graphics card lightsaber, 2 large stickers with "EVGA ENTHUSIAST BUILT" on them(one white the other black).
Make sure to register your card for your warranty and grab the thermal pads from EVGA if you're concerned about the VRM temperatures [...]). If you bought after November 2016 there's a good chance you already have the VRM thermal pads installed.
I have a 500 watt PSU, running an i5 6600k. I only wanted to replace my GTX 780, for something a little more powerful but that also saved power. Check boxes for both requirements I am interested in.
Taking before and after screenshots of my game play (WoT), the temperature rarely gets above 60 Celsius where as before I'd be getting 75-ish. This is running full-out Ultra settings and the card is running @ 99%, the FPS is amazing I am easily getting 60+.
I am very happy with this purchase, I did not wait for the new 20xx series because if even I got it for a similar price, the power requirements would force me to spend more money.
Final note, EVGA makes really good products I trust them and Asus for all of my nerdy needs.
