"Gardeners like to relax during the off season, or after a long day tending their edible paradise. This lovely coloring book celebrates the magnificent beauty of nature’s edible bounty. It contains seasonal delicacies found in forests, fields, gardens, and urban farmer’s markets. You’ll find strawberry patches; bouquets of fresh herbs; beehives and honeybees; fall harvest baskets and nuts rolling on the forest floor. [Edible Paradise] is great for such mediums as colored pencil, pen and ink, and watercolor."
"This beauty [Edible Paradise] would be great for not only foodies, but also nature fans and gardeners."
"[Edible Paradise] is divided by seasons, with line illustrations depicting items such as rhubarb, tomatoes, apples and tubers. Little accents round out the whole playful package: A squirrel nibbles at an acorn in one drawing, a caterpillar inches across a pepper on another. After flipping through the pages and settling on a springtime rendering of peas, kohlrabi, asparagus and other vegetables, we realized just how soothing coloring our cauliflower any shade that strikes our fancy can be."
"Images of produce from the garden and the market in [Edible Paradise] are as intricate as French tapestries, presenting an artistic challenge for adult and accomplished child alike. . . Be Henri Rousseau and take a realistic approach, coloring strawberries red, or let your inner Vlaminck emerge as you create bright yellow asparagus, turquoise turnips and green honeybees."

"For foodies who also happen to be coloring fiends, Edible Paradise combines both passions."
"The coloring book craze has been around for quite a while. I've flipped through many that I thought displayed amazing skill and were beautiful, but I never connected with them. Edible Paradise: A Coloring Book of Seasonal Fruits and Vegetables, by illustrator Jessie Kanelos Weiner, was different. Described by Jessie as 'a cheat sheet guide to eating in season,' I loved the idea of adding color to food, exactly as you see it ripen in nature."
"[Jessie Kanelos Weiner] has created one of the best coloring books you can imagine for food lovers. It's called Edible Paradise: An Adult Coloring Book of Seasonal Fruits and Vegetables and it is filled with a seasonal smorgasbord of edible delights, just waiting for you to pick up a pen and bring them to life."
"I've long been a fan of Jessie Kanelos Weiner's vivid and imaginative watercolors . . . But when Weiner released Edible Paradise: An Adult Coloring Book of Seasonal Fruits and Vegetables, I discovered a new affinity for her work. . . Weiner's fanciful landscapes are organized by season; they're a riot of vegetation, edible plant life, and tantalizing market scenes. They'll encourage you to paint (or pencil) the town red - in any colors you like."
"Have no fear, food lovers - Edible Paradise is a coloring book made just for you! With stunning art by Jessie Kanelos Weiner, even the most serious among us will find it hard to resist putting colored pencil to paper. . . Gardeners, nature lovers, home cooks, and anyone with a love of food will be entranced by the details in Weiner's creations. So grab your crayons, pens, or paints and enjoy the beauty of nature with this book."

Images are all fruits and veggies which is a nice change from most coloring book themes. It's double sided and the paper is thick (but I wouldn't use markers on this -- fine liner ones will be ok though ) so I would stick to colored pencils and gel pens.
Artwork is high quality. Book is arranged by seasons. I'd say it's about 50/50 with two page spreads and single page images. I've attached some pics of the pages so you can see for yourself. There is also a key that tells you what these fruits and veggies are, so if you want to color them realistically, you can look up the produce online to see the real colors
I hope the author makes more books!
