Product Description

I thought our love was infinite, unbreakable.

After six years together, butterflies would still take flight in my stomach every time he walked into a room. With just one smile I was putty in his hands. He promised me forever with every touch of his lips. Too late, I realized that I was being kept in an illusion made of glass; only to have him smash it apart and disappear before he could see it shatter around me in perfect ruins.

With a tiny life held in the palm of my hands, I'm haunted by the man who abandoned us.

And then there was him.

Immersing himself within the dust and debris as I was slowly opening my eyes to this new reality. He says he wants forever, but how can I believe him when love lies and forevers don't truly exist.

I can't believe that this is the debut book for these two authors. It certainly reads as seasoned writers and boy did I love it. While it had some heartache in it, it was so sweet and made me feel good just to read it.

Olive (Liv) thought she had her life planned out even after she had already dealt with immense grief in her life. She had a boyfriend she loved for 6 wonderful years, a great job and a BFF she loved like a sister. She is broken hearted to learn that forever doesn't always mean that when the one closest in your life can break and dismiss you as if you never really existed to him at all.

On her own with a new baby to take care of, Liv tried her best to trudge on and forget the one who broke her heart. Can she ever open herself up like that ever again to another man?

Seb wasn't looking for a woman but for some reason he can't seem to stay away from Liv. She definitely has her guard up and he can see why. What happens when he wants more than friendship, will Liv let him in and help her heal and move on or will the barriers around her heart stay up and keep him out forever?

OMG I need a Sebastian for myself! ! He's the perfect BBF.

Now, this one ends on a gigantic cliffhanger. Like, I mean a mother of a cliffhanger and now I can't wait for the next part.

I’ve just added a new author to my list of favorites, Lou-Ella Fields I absolutely LOVED it!!! This is her first book and she or should I say they sucked me right in. I was addicted from the beginning, even recommended it to friends before I was halfway through. This sweet and emotional story flows so easily I was surprised to find that it is actually written by two authors. Lou and Ella Fields well done!!!

Zeke seriously…..?

Olive, with a broken heart and her friend Milli by her side is so strong and determined to get through this new challenge in her life. What’s so great is that for Liv not only do good things come in small packages they come in big ones as well and his name is Sebastian; so sweet and patient, his love…..so pure. I love how Seb falls so easily into step once he gets over his initial reaction. He’s perfect, supportive, even as he waits patiently for Liv’s healing heart while risking his own. I cried many tears both happy and sad in celebration, joy and sorrow through this emotional journey. You don’t just read it; you feel it!

I love this book so much because it feels so real, not a fairy tale but, real life. There’s pain and happiness, it’s up and down, a steady realistic pace makes each experience believable. The characters are loveable and have great chemistry whether it is a friendship or romantic relationship. Will I read more from this author? Absolutely!!! I can’t wait for book 2, Erase. I know it’s going to be another emotional ride but I look forward to it. As for their friends Millie and Beau, they are so funny I’m hoping I get a chance to read their story as well.

I struggled so hard to enjoy Elapse but for some reason I couldn't. The story was okay and so was the characters. Sadly the story wasn't memorable and I couldn't connect with Liv or feel her chemistry with Zeke or Seb. Believe me, I tried so freaking hard but I was just bored because nothing particularly happened throughout this story. Liv finds out she's pregnant, the father of her baby leaves her and she meets Seb, who she forms a friendship with that slowly evolves into more. It ends with a predictable cliffy which I saw coming miles away.
Seb was my favorite character. Everything about him was great and his parents too. He was Liv's rock along with her friend Millie who was a hoot. He was so good to Liv and Rose. He truly was the definition of a perfect guy.
Elapse just wasn't my book and it pains me cause I really wanted to love it but it just wasn't meant to be.

At first, I was a bit frustrated with Liv - when someone does something that appalling, you don't need them. But in all reality, this story is, well, more realistic- love doesn't just end, and hearts don't just mend. This is a sweet story that may be predictable, but has enough emotion it it to draw me in and want more. *Warning- this is book one of two, and does end in a cliffy.

I cannot even believe this was a debut! I love everything about this story. Hopefully my heart will slow down by the time book 2 is ready.

Elapse is a contemporary romance following Olive as the love of her life leaves her without warning like the last six years have meant nothing. As she's left to pick up the pieces, another man tries to show her that not all is lost. But she's been burned so badly and the need to protect her heart leaves her wary to open up again. And just when it seems like life has finally given her something good, reality has a way of sneaking up on her when she least expects it.

I was hooked from the first word in the synopsis and completely entranced throughout the whole story. Olive has not been dealt an easy hand but for the last six years it's seemed like things were finally starting to look up. But in the blink of an eye, it's all gone. Her story was heart wrenching but I loved her inner strength and rooted for her to open up. And while this story had some very emotional themes, there was also lots of comedic relief by way of Olive's best friend and bosses as well as some major swoony moments with Seb. He came into her life unexpectedly and was just absolute hero perfection. I appreciated the growth of their relationship, the reality that surrounded them and the friendship they formed. Their blooming love affair made me believe in second chances and I spent so much of this story besotted by them. Then the ending left me gasping for more. I have a lot of feelings left over after this story and I cannot wait for the continuation of this duet as it promises to bring a whole new dimension to Olive's story.

Elapse was a good 4 star read.

Hi, my name’s Olive, and welcome to my crazy life. Please, remain seated and fasten your seat belts until it’s time to jump off the crazy train.

Right from the start your heart goes out to Olive (Liv), she has just been dumped by her boyfriend of six years because she is pregnant. She is in complete shock that he would up and leave her without even a glance back.

Just because someone says forever doesn’t mean you should ever truly believe them. Love Lies. And love leaves.

As she moves forward with her pregnancy she has great support from friends, especially her best friend Millie. She eventually meets Sebastian who is a little shocked to find out she’s pregnant. He eventually comes to his senses and pursues a friendship/relationship with Liv. Can he help put her heart back together again? Will Liv be able to move on with her life?

There is so much more to this read, all of the secondary characters were great. I have to say that the ending is a HUGE cliff hanger that left me thinking, WTF. Now I have to wait for the next book to see what’s next. Just when things are looking great for these two a huge twist is thrown into the mix. The author does a great job of pulling you into the story. I did have some LOL moments as well.
