Endure was a perfect conclusion to one of my favorite series. It was funny and heartwarming and everything I've come to expect from The Crew!

HASH(0xa45ff7ec) out of 5 stars Fantastic, heartwarming and gut wrenching. Nov. 30 2015

Usually in my review I cover a summary of the plot, but, and this is a first for me, this time I am not going to. This book was an automatic download for me and I hadn't even read the synopsis, and that is exactly the way you should read this book, of course after reading them in order beginning with Emerge.

I fell in love with the crew in Emerge and have followed their journey through Entangled and Embrace. When I started reading Endure, initially, I thought I had missed a book in between before realisation dawned, and I was in for more than a surprise or two.

This was clearly a finale for the crew (although I do hope there may be more from the squad with a glimpse at the crew again). The characters are all so unique, well developed and their rapport like no other. They all feel like real people I have fallen in love with. When they are together there is sure to be drama, laughs, camaraderie, and heartache. Sawyer is sure to get them all in trouble and Dane will be there to bail them out. They have grown up together through the highs and the lows, they have been there to support each other in the hard times and have shared the fun and laughter in the good times, their histories are all intertwined and are one story to tell.

Reading Endure was bittersweet, it had been a little while since I had read the previous three books and it brought back so many memories of their characters in the early days, to see how they had developed was fantastic, heartwarming and gut wrenching. I laughed my way through this book while battling with tears threatening to spill over at any moment, that is until the final paragraph and I was gone, as we were taken back to where it all began with Laney and Even. Tod and Copper.

HASH(0xa4525a20) out of 5 stars **5 Auld Lang Syne, Stars** Nov. 29 2015
By Vanessa Morse - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
"Over the years, we've lost, and gained, some members. Some by choice, others by fate. Life has tried several times to splinter our foundation, topple our fortress--and failed. Our faith; in God, ourselves, and each other has been tested beyond measure, multiple times...but in the end, the crew saves the ship--Every. Single. Time. And we make it through the storm."

When I opened the first page of this book, I admit, I had to catch up. It takes place many years in the future from where this series began and what is thought at the beginning is really just exactly what it should be: a prelude to the end of a series. Of an era. A group of friends and their families coming full circle.

It was magic. That's the best way to describe it. Pure. Magic. Hall has a way of pulling you into the lives of each person and truly, you become attached to them. You find yourself cheering for them, cursing them, and just...loving them. Loving where they've come from, where they are, and where they're going--plus, after all this time, there is a certain someone(s) who really needed their happily ever after. Hall delivers. And she doesn't disappoint.

"We're circling around the new, smaller ring being built inside our own. And inside it, they'll be safe, because we've spent years strengthening that outer circle, forged from the hardest, unbreakable steel."

Following the Crew on their journey called life, we get to witness something truly special in Endure. And it lives up to the title, too. What they have had to endure throughout the roller coaster of their lives is just as heart-swelling as it is heart-breaking. I laughed (thanks Sawyer), I cried (thanks Laney, Bennett, Dane, and Zach), and I fell in love with a whole new group of beautiful souls just starting to spread their wings and fly. Even now, my nose stings, my eyes are watering, and my heart is completely full.

Things are as they should be, and the next generation may have some challenges to face with the foundation they've been given--there are a lot of huge expectations--but I have no doubt that The Squad will fulfill every inch of those very large least I hope they do. (Yes, Steph. That was a hint.)

HASH(0xa4525ee8) out of 5 stars Perfectly full circle Nov. 28 2015

This is the book I have been waiting for and dreading in equal measures. I absolutely love the Crew, the solidarity, the humor, the honesty and the love. Knowing Endure is the end of the line for them made reading this one bittersweet. But S.E. Hall delivered everything I wanted and everything this cast of characters deserved.

My heart is so full and the smile hasn't left my face in hours. I didn't just read this book, let alone this series, I felt it. The Crew is family- plain and simple. I laughed with them, cried with them, celebrated with them, grew with them...I really liked that until about halfway through you had no idea who the life changing event that everyone has gathered for is happening to. Oh man was my jaw on the floor when I learned just what was going on!

When the Crew gets together, they don't hold back. Sawyer provided the comic relief with his antics- the things that guy comes up with had me in stitches. Evan was there to keep Whit in check when she was becoming her anxious, overly nervous self. Laney and Dane took me on a walk down memory lane. Dane showed his sentimental side and it reminded me just why he is so swoon worthy. And that brings us to Zachary Taylor Reece.

That man. I absolutely LOVED that he finally got his story and chance at happily ever after. This big guy with a heart of gold really knows how to bring it. I liked getting to know him as his own person. Not the sounding board for Laney, or the friend to the guys but Zach- what and who makes him tick! My heart hurt for him. I felt his longing and desperation. And when he reached his limit it was truly game on!

GAH! I can't even really put into words all the magnificentness of this book. There is so much I want to say but nothing can really give it the justice it deserves. This book was full of humor, charm and wit. It was balanced with a few teary moments. Especially at the gift exchange with the girls and Bennett's confession. And don't even get me started on the toasts- The waterworks were happy ones though. While this was the end of the line for the Crew, I'm hoping and keeping my fingers and toes crossed that they will pop up again somewhere down the line. S.E. Hall has taken us to the next generation of the Crew with the Squad. And that ending was absolute perfection. The words full circle have held a truer meaning than they do when describing Endure.

HASH(0xa4525eac) out of 5 stars I Still Love The Crew! Jan. 3 2016

I always hate when one of my favorite book series comes to an end. But when an author writes such a perfect ending how can you be sad? S.E. Hall has taken us on an emotional journey with The Crew, and Endure is the perfect way to wrap it up. Now I'll be honest, I was expecting something completely different, but I was pleasantly surprised with the turn of events.

And as with all of The Evolve Series of course I laughed, I mean Sawyer Beckett was in it of course I'm going laugh. I also shed some happy tears for The Crew. And by the end of Endure, I had fallen in love with The Crew all over again. And I will forever hope that at some point, when the time is right, we will see The Crew again.
