Product Description

Essential oils have a variety of positive uses. Peppermint can help with stomach issues and PMS. Clove oil is used to cure headaches. Inhaling citrus oils has been said to cure cabin fever. Other oils like mint and citrus help people relax during summer. Essential oils are organic and all-natural, so they can be used as replacements for certain harmful medicines and perfumes. Integrating essential oils into a person's routine can lead to becoming more relaxed, happy and fun to be around.

HASH(0xa4b9f6fc) out of 5 stars Much better books available. Dec 27 2014
By KJ Conrad - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
One of the books is an advertisement for Young Living Oils. The author even suggests you order oils through her. All three of the books are poorly written with no editing. Some of the information provided is not only inaccurate it is also dangerous. There are much better books on this topic written by qualified professionals. Before following the advice in any of these books, please check the credentials of the person providing the information.

HASH(0xa4b9bbf4) out of 5 stars Really dangerous advice. Do yourself a favor and avoid this book. Jan. 27 2016
By SarahPH - Published on Amazon.com

This book set is actually terrible. I got it free for my honest opinion so here it goes: The writing in the first book is essentially unedited and reads like it was translated from another language or like it was written in a whirlwind weekend and never proofread. There are sentences like “Do not at any cost use internally” when what they mean is “Do not ever ingest essential oils.” Which, is actually good advice! Then there are are words like “ever” that are supposed to be “every.” Anyone who is selling you a book should take the time to see that the writing, at least is correct! The 2nd book is written better but has some really bad advice about using essential oils, advice that no trained person should give, she says to ingest essential oils, but the first book said to never do it, well isn’t that just confusing? The third book should just be called “ How Young Living brainwashes you into thinking their oils are better than the rest so that they can get away with charging you way more than other companies, while giving you borderline dangerous advice”. And she says she isn’t going to sell you anything and then in the next page she offers to sell you some for 24% off. Really now?

A few facts about Essential Oils from an Aromatherapist:
-There is no meaning to the words “therapeutic grade” when it comes to essential oils. There is no body that regulates the use of these words so ANY oil company can use them to claim their oil is the best. If any oil company says that their oil is “therapeutic grade” and therefore the best they are (whether they know it or not) lying to you.
-Essential oils are very strong and ALWAYS need to be diluted. WHY? Because even lemon and lime oil can burn your skin if you go out into the sun soon enough after using them. Oregano oil is a HOT oil and can burn your skin if not diluted. OUCH!
-Children have been poisoned by ingesting essential oils
-Essential oils should never be ingested unless under the care of a trained aromatherapist.

Please find a better EO book than this. There are so many. Look up the expert Robert Tisserand or find Lea Harris’ Facebook group. I am not affiliated with either person nor am I an aromatherapist or an MD I just want to see you use your EO’s more safely than this book is recommending.

HASH(0xa4a5d804) out of 5 stars Beginner's set of Essential Oils and Aromatherapy concepts, practice and basic knowledge of preparation and use of those Feb. 1 2016
By C. ROMERO - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
These boxed set of three books is focused on the natural healing power of Aromatherapy, hence its importance to use adequate oils according to the healing process to be applied for. Health issues, minor illness, skin conditions, stressful situations, nail and hair care oils, detoxifying properties, emotional and physical healing, facilitation of nutrient transport in the body and much more can be improved by the correct use of essential oils through Aromatherapy practice.

The 1st book is about Essential Oils and Aromatherapy. You will read about the concepts of Aromatherapy and Essential Oils. You will learn about where to buy those essential oils and how to use them safely. The book also contains information about how to apply certain aromatherapy techniques and essential oils to heal or release health conditions like tension headaches and stress. This book also mentions aromatherapy massages, purposes and benefits. And finally, there is a chapter about how to turn your home into a relaxing aromatherapy spa.

The 2nd Book is about Essential Oils Healing. Essential Oils concept and how it works can be read on this book. Also, you can read about the benefits of using essential oils, how to store them properly, how to blend essential oils, the best cosmetic uses of essential oils and the best essential oils for enhanced wellbeing.

The 3rd book is A Guide on How to Make Essential Oils. This book contains several essential oils and their benefits. Also, it discuss about methods of using essential oils, how to purchase them and which are the oils that you can use everyday.

This Aromatherapy practice was very common in ancient times and is referred in many ancient scriptures and documents. The main purpose was to be used as home remedy to treat minor afflictions and it had a reintroduction of the healing effects in the early 1900s by European scientists, although those scientists must have brought this knowledge from Middle East, Asia and far regions.

According to the authors, these books contains information gathered through research and from experience that makes this book a concise resource about preparation of essential oils for many healing purposes and how to use through the proper techniques.

These books are written in a friendly format on which you can easily read and understand what the author describes and proposes. Some graphics and illustrations you will also find inside these books that deserve a closer look by the reader.

I like these books and I hope that you will find them useful.

HASH(0xa4c9df60) out of 5 stars Overview of what essential oils are, how they are made, how to use them, suggestions, a few recipe's. Feb. 11 2016
By How products work - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
I read this book, and will use it again, it has information starting with what are essential oils, what to look for when buying essential, how they are produced, what uses they have for stress, relaxation, pain and other ailments, description of certain oils, household uses, topical uses, massage, bath oil recipe, bath salts recipe, it is informative especially for someone who knows nothing about essential oil basics, i do agree with other reviews that the author mentions young living oils a company she had started, a number of times, but overall it had a number of interesting facts, i purchased this for the .99 price and will reread it as i would like to see if i missed anything, easy to understand and follow.

HASH(0xa4c9dfcc) out of 5 stars ... the world if essential oils this book does seem like a good start Jan. 30 2016
By Programs413 - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
Being new to the world if essential oils this book does seem like a good start. It does lay out lots of information on the oils themselves and some of the uses. As others have stated, there are some things that you probably should stay away from (ingesting oils). Now I’m no doctor, nor anything close to one… but thinking logically, that doesn’t seem like a smart thing to do. This book brings high level insight on many oils and the ones which seem more interesting, I will definitely be doing more research on. All in all it was an entertaining read with some decent insight to someone new to essential oils.
I received this book for free in exchange for my honest review.
