To save his twin, he bargains with a goddess but while she may enslave him, she can never own his heart in this fascinating paranormal romance.

There is never a dull moment in this fast paced and smooth flowing story filled with action, suspense and romance. Reign captures the heart from the very beginning (if you read the first book then he probably caught some of it then) and when he meets Alexis, sparks fly in every direction as they fight their attraction and seem to be on opposite sides. The reader can’t help but get caught up in all the passion that vibrates from every page with these two whether it is from anger or desire.

Spine tingling tension builds throughout the story as the well written scenes and details ensure that the reader gets completely ensnared by all the excitement as Reign and Alexis go up against a lot of enemies. The police force –especially the ones that Alexis works for- Roman’s brothers, Daniel and his evil abominations and most importantly the gods themselves. The abundance of strong compelling characters just adds to the enticement of the story and of course many are strong sexy alpha males and the heroines are no slouches either.

The fascinating world continues to stimulate the senses and ensures that the reader keeps coming back for more as the complicated mythological aspects adds lots of spice to the story. The Egyptian pantheon of Gods and Goddesses are a confusing and downright hostile bunch, I must say they act more like spoiled children wanting their way all the time which adds lots of excitement to the story as well. The author adds surprising twists and turns to the story to keep the reader guessing and I for one couldn’t put the story down once I began reading it and I can’t wait to read the next one.
4.0 out of 5 stars 2nd in a great new series. Sept. 20 2014

In the first book we see Roman and his quest for love that had lasted through out eternity. We see him achieve this after many a turmoil. In this book we see his enslaved brother Reign in the Egyptian hell tied to a vindictive goddess who is out for her sons demise. She makes a deal with him making it possible to go into todays world. He goes back thinking that he is going to destroy the creature that is sometimes a human and sometimes not. He is doing this to protect his twin brother Roman. Enter Alexis who is a detective . She has had a rough few days and has decided to go to the local hangout for a little R&R and who knows if a little more with a hot guy. Enter Reign. He comes in sensing trouble. He goes on a rampage that leaves the place reeling. Then leave it to Alexis to try to arrest him. He allows himself to be cuffed and stuffed then disappears right from the jail without a trace. But during the course of the story Reign and Alexis get tethered to each other and can't leave each others side. During this course of action you see them both becoming fugitives, falling in love, going to the underworld to fight the Gods, then back again. This book is worth your while in reading even though it took me a little longer to get into the plot

This is the second book in Descendants of Ra about Reign, The twin brother of Roman, from the first book and it was just as exciting and kept me on edge even more than the first. I loved both Reign and Alexis and thought they were a perfect match. The villains were even a bigger challenge and had me wondering how they would be defeated. This series has definitely won me over and I plan on purchasing the next installment to feed my new addiction.

Tmonique did it again , great second book. Reign *swoon* men feared him , women wanted him, and his big sword.*winks* A lot more happening in this book than the first. More to keep up with and if you haven't read the first one Eternity then you will feel left out and wonder the age old question of who, what, how and wtheck? But if you are keeping up with the boys , you will falter at first but then catch on and learn a whole lot more and then some. Ms Stephens has got a great series going on with these boys and their lucky women....Or is that the other way around? So drop what you got , get your clicker finger ready and go get this book and the first also if you haven't read it yet. Then just sit back and enjoy all the mythology , romance, laughing, crying, and ass kicking men , women and GODS.

I've read both books in this series and enjoyed it so far. Lots of action, good romance, solid character development. But these books are also very different from the usual as the storyline focuses heavily on Egyptian Gods and Goddesses who interact in their own world as well as ours. There is a large cast of characters to familiarize yourself with which can be difficult at first, but once you do, you really get into their relationships with one another. I also like that the characters introduced in Eternity(Book 1) are there throughout this book as well so there is a continuation in storylines which is always appreciated by the reader.

I was a bit surprised at the end because there are a LOT of loose ends that aren't resolved so I'm anxious to see Book 3 in the series so I know how things turn out!
