I bought several of these freezer cookbooks. This one is my favorite. I am not going to spend a whole day cooking for a month. I wanted a book that showed me how to cook a meal for tonight and make extra to freeze for later. This one has directions for both finishing part right then, and for freezing for later. It works out great.
I also think this has the best recipies. Everything I have tried has been great. The recipe for South of the Border Lasagna is worth the price of the book. My husband grabbed the frozen one just the next week to have for dinner.
These are not "light" recipies; they are tasty!

I'm not of a cookbook person, but I saw this originally in the library, and there were so many pages I marked to copy I decided to buy it for myself. The recipes are normal foods that families would eat, no strange ingredients. Very clear instructions. Lots of recipes for homemade sauces or marinades, and the nutritional value is provided if you are watching calories, carbs,salt or fat. I have since purchased a few other copies of the books to give to friends. Highly recommended.

I had high hopes for this cookbook, but it's been a big disappointment. When it comes to recipes for popular meals (meatballs, lasagna, Swedish meatball sauce, Shepherd's Pie, etc.), there are much better recipes available. In fact, I already have better recipes! The book has some recipes with very odd ingredients (corn chowder with sweetened condensed milk? enchiladas topped with feta cheese? cornbread with heavy cream and applesauce?). The zucchini bread recipe must have an error, as it calls for 2 cups sugar, 2 cups white sugar, and 1/2 cup brown sugar - for two loaves of bread. Another recipe calls for a 10 oz package of cream cheese (which doesn't exist - did they mean 8 oz. or 3 oz.?). Of the recipes I've tried, none have been "keepers", and I'm too discouraged to try more. There are some very good freezer cookbooks. I recommend: Don't Panic, Dinner's in the Freezer (great recipes!) and Make-a-Mix Cookbook (a tried-and-true favorite). Right now, I'm working my way through Don't Panic, More Dinner's in the Freezer - and it's even better than the first book in the series!

I heart this cookbook! I have wanted to try once-a-month cooking and have read different books on the subject. This is a one-stop book that gives enough information to get started. The recipes are delicious and have my family thinking I am a great cook (but I really am not!)

My freezer is full of amazing dinners and my time has been freed up to help with homework, get caught up around the house, or just sit and relax.

I'm going to give this book as gifts to my friends for years to come - it has been a life-saver.

I am an avid freezer meal maker. This has to be one of the better books I have seen and read. I probably have 10 in my library and this is now in the top two! Because I have some background in freezer cooking I have to say that these recipes look spot on and AMAZING!
