Bike was bought for me to rehab my knee and my wife to just enjoy. I am 5'11", she is 5' 3" and adjusting the chair takes about 3 seconds.
Computer gives the standard readout; pulse, distance, time, calories and odometer. Worked well for me, no issues.
Whisper quiet, easy to move with rollers on the front stabilizer.
I will be on this 3 times a day for 6 weeks so I'll try and give an update on wear and tear.
Update: Well have just passed the 100 mile mark on the bike. I have used it 5 to 6 days a week 3 times a day and my wife has used it a bit as well. Everything is still working perfectly, the machine is whisper quiet and, though I check the nuts and bolts every day, nothing has needed maintenance. Seat adjustment is still a breeze.
There is only one con. The tension control has very little range. Setting if from minimum to maximum has almost no effect. So I have upped my time on the bike from 10 to 15 minutes per ride and it seems to serve the purpose.
I still love it.
It took a a couple of hours to put together, which consists of attaching all the parts to the center unit (flywheel and pedal arms), which is sealed; and the seat frame to the main frame. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. Tip: Put some tape over the bolts on both horizontal legs, it'll hold them in place while you attach the legs to the frame, as that process is easier to do if the bike is upright. The computer is very basic, but measures what's needed, including pulse. I just let it cycle through each metric. I like that it automatically does so as soon as you start pedalling. It auto-shuts off a couple of minutes after you stop. There are 8 resistance settings...you'll really notice the resistance after #3.
I didn't want to spend over $500 for a bike, and am pleasantly surprised with how good this one is for the money.
1. The weight capacity should be respected as the tubing is also supported by plastic parts (If you stay within a 20lb range from the capacity you will be fine)
2. Price is right for this product.
3. MAKE SURE YOU LEVEL THE PRODUCT PROPERLY!
4. This is where it lost one star...... where the bottom shaft meets the base housing there may be several screws but a design flaw with no bottom screw base support to keep the product from bending and giving way at the bottom) To resolve this design flaw, simply place a spacer to support it or as i did several paint can stir sticks LOL to have it sit on.
5. If you dont assure it is level your ass will eventually make all 3 tightening screw seat supports losen and the chair to wobble. This results in frequent hand tightening but a small price to pay.
Overall, my wife and I use this product 1 hour each and every day for the past 4 weeks and there was only one issue, Make sure you keep the fancy multi-head tool handy they provided because the peddle will become loose.
I have and will recommend this product to anyone and everyone because to be fair it is better than paying $800.00 for a more expensive one.
- affordable price
- sturdy materials
- easy to install
- runs smoothly and quietly
- small enough to store it in a corner
- the display is finicky and does not really do too much, but I don’t need it anyway
I’m pedaling now while watching movies. I love it.
