in to adventure films that is,trying to rescue her sister,Adéle Blanc-Sec,sets out on
her biggest adventure that will pit her against some very dangerous people, there is a nude
scene in this movie of a woman breast in a bath-tub so be aware of that,if that was not there
it could've been for the whole family, very nice movie though..
The Blu-ray contains the original film in French with choice of English or French subtitles. The special features are in French only, but will still be enjoyable to watch for English speakers. The disc plays fine in the US on standard players.
Special features (in French) include:
Adèle & Agathe - cut scenes developing the sister's relationship
Une journée dans les coulisses avec Louise - a short about Adèle's various disguises
Parenthèse Onirique - (no dialogue) assorted artistic behind-the-scenes clips
Documentaire du tournage - an interesting "Making of" documentary.
Legendary director Luc Besson of ‘The Fifth Element’ and ‘Leon,’ transports us to the wild days of early 20th-century Paris, where feisty young writer Adèle Blanc-Sec embarks on thrilling missions to find exciting material for her book and a cure for her sick sister. She sails to Egypt to raid a tomb that supposedly hides the cure, but what will she do when an army of resurrected mummies get in the way? Back in Paris she finds the city in chaos after a 136 million-year old pterodactyl egg mysteriously hatches. Adèle Blanc-Sec realises she is the only one game enough to take control of the prehistoric bird. Narrated by Bernard Lanneau.Read more ›
