Although the content looks great and many lessons could be used, as a Canadian it's annoying that there are so many American references/pictures (coins, State Standards) when Dr. Small is known for referring to Canadian curriculum.

This is a good companion for other Marian Small texts. Easy to use for busy teachers. The big ideas and helpful strategies are succinctly written. Useful Q. & A. guide these strategies. Visuals and pictures support stratetegies and explanations. I've used it for primary, junior and Gr. 7 and 8 math - quite a span! I highly recommend this book.
