Product Description

Fall of the Dreamer is the second instalment in the Dreamer.
Enjoying her new life in Sandhaven after the events of the year before, Amelia feels like she has it all – great friends, a home by the beach, a job that she loves, and a handsome boyfriend. But a new threat is brewing in the city; the Cambiar Virus is spreading fast and people are dying. Amelia does not want to give up her peaceful life, but someone must fight for those who are unaware of the danger they’re in. With Cameron acting strange, her friendship with Sarah strained, and her relationship with Jonah growing more complicated, the last thing Amelia wants is to put her personal life aside and get involved in another life threatening situation. But she doesn’t have a choice.
Warning: Adventure, action, science fiction, relationships, manipulation and mind control.
Also, cliff hanger ending!

5.0 out of 5 stars even better than the first Feb. 5 2016

I love when you can actually see a writer improving. Dawn of the Dreamer was good - a really unique story. But, Fall of the Dreamer is definitely better.

We come to the story on the heels of Amelia and crew taking down the Multi-mind corporation. This is the company that is anti-dreamer. Dreamers are harder to control, as evidence by Amelia and Joe. But the MMC is too big to be taken down by a simple info leak. The world now knows what they're really up to so they've gone to ground. Instead of forcing them to cease operations, the rebel dreamers have pushed them into the closet. And this time, they're trying for a full elimination of dreamers.

A virus is sweeping through the city. People are dying. But, their are those working from the inside to figure it all out. The very same people keeping dangerous secrets from Amelia. Events ramp up as those are revealed and life gets real.

I was a full of Cameron fan in the first book, but I found myself falling in love with Joe in this one. He's such a great character. But, it's really Amelia that steals the show. She isn't some headstrong heroine that rushes into danger. I liked that about her. She isn't stupid. But, when put into crazy situations, she's strong and loyal.
This book is intriguing and entertaining. I'd recommend it to any fan of the genre.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great read for fans of YA dystopia! Feb. 2 2016

In Fall of the Dreamer, Amelia is at it again trying to take down the evil MMC whose goal in life is to get rid of all the Dreamers and destroy everyone’s ability for independent thought. When the novel begins, it seems like Amelia, Joe and their friends have finally settled down into a fairly normal life after taking down the MMC, but it isn’t long before they discover that the corporation is up to no good once again. The author does a great job of creating the dystopian world around them and getting the reader involved in the character’s plight. The main character, Amelia, has grown a lot from the first book and she’s become a stronger and tougher heroine which is always nice to see. There’s still the love triangle tension between her, Cameron and Joe and it often had me questioning who really was best for her. I’ll warn you the book ends on a major cliff hanger - so beware! It was a surprising twist and I’m anxious to see where the author will take us next!
5.0 out of 5 stars Bring on Book 3 Jan. 26 2016

The follow up to Dawn of the Dreamer exceeded my expectations in many ways. While I enjoyed the story of DOTD, I found some of the dialogue stiff and the relationships not fleshed out enough.
In Fall of the Dreamer, author L.J Higgins has improved on her craft, not only giving us another original story line, but more depth to each of her characters.
Main character Amelia and frenemy Sarah become closer. Joe and Amelia still have that weird connection thing that makes me want to slap sense into both of them and tell them to get together already. And Cameron... well I never liked him, and to me, he's still an a**, but at least he's consistent. I also have a weird crush on Tech, the dorky nerd.
The MMC are back, trying to rid the world of those who won't conform. I don't want to give spoilers because the whole idea of the book was original and interesting. All I can say is, it's a turbulent ride.
5.0 out of 5 stars A fresh, original story June 19 2016

The second book in the Dreamers Trilogy, Fall of the Dreamer, is a great installment. Everything from character and world building to overall writing is better than the first.

I thought the story was a fresh take on a very popular genre. The author is very imaginative, creating a scary world of mind control. The evil MMC empire is causing havoc again for the dreamers, and they're malicious in their ways.

It's hard writing a review without giving spoilers away, but this is one book you don't want to miss. Plus, I'm ready for the next installment!
4.0 out of 5 stars A fight for the right to be free March 26 2016

I just love how the author maintains the same level of interest and mood in both books. Amelia has to deal with her dreams, with what they mean, and with the people she loves. It's not an easy task when Amelia is not safe yet from the evil corporation. She has a gift she shares with Joe. They all have the will to help people. It's very hard to put the book down.
I felt that there's so much to be answered yet, and can't wait to read the next one.
