This book isn't just Falling Sky - it's an absolute roller coaster ride of emotions as life's ups and downs take Dylan and Sky to the pinnacle of happiness...and the despairing depths of losing everything, including those they love.

The cliffhanger at the end of Summer Sky is resolved in this one, but it's the sort of problem that can never be completely, perfectly resolved, due to the sheer nature of the issue. No, I'll give no spoilers on that.

As the rock and roll touring life spirals out of control again, Dylan needs his Sky more than ever - but Sky has her own issues to face. Life throws everything it has at these two and leaves you hanging on from start to finish, as you desperately need to know if love will be enough to carry them through.

A book about imperfect heroes and heroines learning to overcome the past in order to change the future, Falling Sky had me close to tears more than once. Just as I jumped straight from the ending of Summer Sky to the start of Falling Sky, I can't wait for the next book in this series to be released.

Five well-deserved stars.

**I was extremely lucky to receive a copy of this book in exchange for an honest and fair review.**

Phew!! Here we are....Book two. An eagerly awaited sequel that was badly needed, to put straight the 100's of questions I had buzzing around from the end of Summer Sky. Anyone who has read Summer Sky knows how it ends, and how important it is to get hold of Falling Sky and find out what happened.
Summer Sky started Dylan and Sky's story. They crash into each other literally and find out just how hard it is to walk away. Through all the ups and downs they experience along the way, you can feel the building affection they have for each other, and just how strong it becomes. Yet, not all want Dylan and Sky to have their Happy Ever After. Sins of the past are dragged up and rehashed to cause some rifts between them. That is exactly how Summer Sky was left. A secret was confessed by someone and left Sky questioning Dylan.
Here we are in Falling Sky and it's four months later. Four months for Dylan and Sky to get on with their lives as they were before they met. They are both trying to survive and forget about each other, but that's never going to happen.

"Did it work?" I ask harshly, "Do you feel nothing?"
"Until I saw you again, then everything flooded in. I ache to have you back, Sky."

I'm not going to give any details, or spoilers away. It was quite a shocking and tense ending to Summer Sky and I really don't want to spoil the story by giving anything away.
I can only go on to say just how much I loved this conclusion to Sky and Dylan's story. Right from the start, I was transported straight back into their story. It hadn't felt like I had to wait at all.

HASH(0xa6d10174) out of 5 stars Touches Every Emotion June 7 2014
By Peggy F. - Published on

I anxiously have been awaiting the conclusion of Sky and Dylan’s story. I wondered whether they could mature enough to overcome what would seem insurmountable issues from their pasts. Falling Sky answers those questions. In this book we finally get the answers to ‘did he’, ‘can she forgive’, and ‘how will they’. The characters in this book are so real - so human- that you forget you are reading about fictional people and events. I did laugh, I did cry, and I did my fair share of ranting at the characters and at the challenges that these two had to deal with. There are hosts of supporting characters and subplots; any of which could (fingers crossed) spawn more books.

I don’t like to get or give spoilers; therefore, I will just say- read this book. You will be glad you did. And if you haven’t read Summer Sky, read it first. Both are wonderful, gut wrenching tales that will pull at your heartstrings but make you happy at the end. I would recommend this book to those 18 years and older due to the mature theme of the story. Five stars for Falling Sky

I was provided a copy of this book for an honest but not necessarily favorable review.

HASH(0xa6d103c0) out of 5 stars Another awesome book in the series, Lisa Swallow is fast becoming one of my favourite authors ... June 8 2014
By Kaylene Osborn - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
Falling Sky is the second book in the Blue Phoenix series of books by Lisa Swallow. In the first book Sky Davis meets bad boy rocker Dylan Morgan, who is struggling with his fame and is sick of his life in general. Sky turns his world upside down and he falls head over heels in love with her.

As soon as I finished book one, I really wanted to read on but as with any good series a little waiting was involved and to be honest, I’m glad I did because this book was well worth the wait. In the second book we really learn a lot more about the other characters (or band members) and the book talks about these characters and fills us in on where their lives are heading as well. I felt sorry for them, but frustrated with them as well. I can’t really say much because that would just ruin the book, but I can say that I was very interested in their storylines. Of course, this is because the series will continue with stories about the rest of the Blue Phoenix boys.

What I did like .. the story moves along well and I found it hard to put down. I liked the characters and their development. I liked Sky's independence and her sensible outlook. I love Dylan, he is hot, sexy and romantic. I loved the way he proposed, and I love the way they search for shells on the beach (it all seems so very normal in their crazy world). I loved how normal Sky was and how she brought “normal” to Dylan’s world. But mostly I loved the undeniable attraction and love that Dylan showed Sky whenever he could.

What I didn’t like .. nothing !! It was another perfect book from an author who is fast becoming one of my favourites.

Well done Lisa Swallow on another wonderful story, that had me turning the pages and wanting to finish, but sometimes life gets in the way and I wasn't able to finish it in one sitting. This book is definitely a five star plus book for me.

HASH(0xa6d10600) out of 5 stars This is a MUST READ Rock Star series!!!! June 17 2014

WOW! Lisa Swallow you have out done yourself with this one. I loved Summer Sky, but OMG have you upped the ante in Falling Sky.

This is not what I was expecting. Here’s how I thought it would play out…. Sky and Dylan cross paths again, sparks immediately reignite (because what they had can’t be snuffed out forever), and after a bit of an adjustment period… boom they’re back together. I was expecting light and sweet again (because in all honesty Summer Sky was a lighter read for me)…….. not this time. Holy cow! Dylan and Sky's story is more intense and gritty this time around. It's filled with passion, revenge, and hope. This turned into a REAL and serious rock star story with all the dirty secrets, public pressure, and baggage to boot.

I loved that this wasn’t predictable. How it all plays out will have you gasping in surprise. Falling Sky was hard to put down – I just couldn’t wait to find out what happened next. Dylan's fame is an obstacle to what he wants and who he wants to be. Sky helps him find the Dylan he lost years ago. It’s not an easy path to follow, but the pair is more than willing to travel it together and see where it leads them in the end.

Sky is one of my favorite heroines. She’s strong and certainly not afraid to tell Dylan how it is and put the bad boy rock star in a timeout when he’s being a total butt. I think Sky proved to be good for more than just Dylan. Certain things probably wouldn’t have happened had Sky never entered the world of Blue Phoenix. After this, in a weird way, I am sort of attached to Jem. He's so lost - the guy just needs a big hug. And, Liam is definitely wormed his way into my heart. I’d love to see Jem and Liam each get their own stories. They have both captured my interest, and I definitely want to see what happens with them.

And I have to mention the bacon! This book would not have been complete without bacon!

*****5- Lisa Swallow is BAD for my sanity -Stars*****
~this review may contain minor spoilers~

Why didn't I fight for Sky? I've asked myself the question over and over, and at the heart of why is fear. A fear of resurrecting the past I deny and pulling myself back down.
I'm scared of seeing hatred in the eyes of the girl who believed in the person I could be.

~Once again Lisa Swallow has done what she does best, she likes to do a little tap dance on my heart while I jump back and forth between screaming in frustration and bawling my eyes out as I'm simultaneously turned on. Yeah, that's takes skill.~

Four months have passed since Sky's world fell apart. She's not quite sure what to believe about the accusations made against Dylan, but seeing as he has given her no explanation at all, she assumes the worst and tries her very best to move on. Dylan isn't doing much better, he's falling back into old habits to cope with the life he was trying to get away from and his Summer Sky is never far from his mind. Returning home to England brings him too close to Sky to continue avoiding her-he has to see her again, explain things, even though he knows showing her his dark past may push her away forever, she has to know the truth.
As they attempt to rebuild the connection they found in Broadbeach, knowing being apart is just not an option, they need to learn to trust in each other and open up while keeping the outside world at bay. That is easier said than done when being thrust back into the Blue Phoenix world has people from all directions trying to keep them apart.

I want to kiss him so much, but I'm scared of letting myself give in to the swirling hormones that will lead me to his bed. I'm already locked back into Dylan's orbit, but there's a huge trust issue in the way. Not the accusations, which I believe aren't true, but the fact he didn't tell me and ran instead. I'm vulnerable and unsure.

There really is nothing calm or simple about these books, if your looking for hearts and rainbows-you will not find it here. While the story does revolve around two people who love each other very much, there is just so much working against them. Insecurities, bad judgment, ghost from the past that will not just go away, drug & alcohol abuse, pissed off band members, and the press spinning ridiculous stories out of nothing. Every time you start to breathe just a little bit, something else blows up in their face making you desperately wish these two could just catch a damn break. But this is why Lisa is so very bad for my sanity, I swear she gets off by driving us insane-however, at least she fixes me up in the end. While I was happy this story didn't end with a gutwrenching cliffhanger like the first book, I was still left with some questions: not everything was wrapped up in a pretty little bow which just makes me all the more anxious to get my greedy little hands on the next book in the series. One thing is for sure, this book proved to me yet again why Lisa Swallow has permanently landed herself on my 'One-Click Addiction' list and I don't see her going anywhere any time soon. But I'm totally okay with that ;)

He taught me that love isn't something you find in the places you look hardest, but love is something that finds you. A part of Dylan lives in the center of who I am-in my body, heart and soul. He is all my todays and every tomorrow, forever.

HASH(0xa6d10b70) out of 5 stars 4.5 Stars! July 9 2014

Falling Sky is their journey towards their second chance and happy ever after. Just like how fast rock star Dylan Morgan invaded her life, that is how fast he too disappeared, and broke her heart into pieces. It was the secret from his past that drove them apart.

They both tried to move on, cope in different ways, but to no avail. Still thoughts of each other would linger, and pain would once again be felt. All Sky wanted was an explanation from Dylan, perhaps a denial that he didn’t do what he was accused of. I don’t know what the heck is wrong with him that he fled and acted like a coward, broken and all when all he has to do was to sit with Sky and talk to her. Argh. Pretty much frustrating.

I was wondering if there is any truth to the accusation and I was dying to know what really happened during those times. Something wasn’t right here, and I needed to find out. Yep, so I stayed awake until I finally got the truth, but after I had it, there was another surprise waiting for me in the next pages.

As Sky tries to move on, Dylan spiraled downwards. Good thing he has friends who cared for him, and told him to finally go get his girl and explain his side of the story. He returns to England, and the story of their road to second chance began.

They had a shaky foundation, they haven’t known each other for that long, and trust has already been an issue for the both of them. But they were willing to work things out, settle their individual differences, and even the differences of their world, make a compromise, and live happily ever after. Ah, if only it was that simple. The road they took wasn’t that easy. They had a lot of bumps, detours, and flat tires, and I was almost worried I had to wait for another book before they can reach their destination.

The ending was so worth it after all that they have been through, the demons and the circumstances they have to fight against before they can have the one thing they both deserve – their HEA. It was a great read, so worth the wait, I enjoyed their journey – all their pains, the aches, the romance and the triumphs. I was happy for the band, for the decision they made at the end of the novel. I guess it was the right decision at this time. I can’t wait to read Liam’s story. He left the ending of this book with a bang, and I am so excited to read his HEA too!
