Wow, what a way to start off the album. I totally related to this song, it reminded me so much of what I was going through with this guy I was madly in love with and as we started to fall apart I would.. "wake up/ put on my make up/ pick up the phone/ nobody's home..". Every word in this song is perfect, and I think the bridge of the song is magnificent (Leaving it all behind/ 'cause yesterday's gone). The best part I have to say is the ending. There's so much emotion. I'd say this is my favourite song but its still too soon.
This is another amazing song. It's very haunting. "I've trusted no one deep outside". It's very vague it doesn't go into specifics, so it's easy to relate to. Louise wrote this one all on her own. The melody is gorgeous and it's different. The girls' voices during the chorus is just crazy. Refreshing to the ears.
3.It's About Time
This is the girls' first single. It's very catchy and the video for it was as well. I think its a great song, it's radio-friendly, and it gets them the attention to get their music out there- but the rest of the album is definitely more true to themselves and more deep and complex. I like the way the whole scheme of the lyrics is contradicting and ironic (I'm honest to myself that/ the truth is/ I lied). Again, a very nice, catchy song. I wouldn't go as far as saying it's a misrepresentation of the album but people who buy it will be surprised how much more talent the girls show in their songwriting through the rest of the record.
Definitely one of the harder rock songs on the album. It also contains the only potty-mouth.Read more ›
These girls have gotten some lucky breaks, as they work with the biggest producers of today, and they are signed to Madonna's Maverick label. Here's the thing, they are NOT a manufactured group, and even the songs produced by The Matrix, Linda Perry, and Glen Ballard don't have these people dominating the tracks, where the girls are rendered anonymous, uh-uh!! Sure, the first single, "It's About Time", co-written by the band with The Matrix + produced by The Matrix, sounds a lot like Avril Lavigne's "Complicated", BUT in a much improved song. "24/7", produced by Glen Ballard, and written by Tasha-Ray ONLY, is really awesome. Another fave is track 10, "Fork In The Road", a great slice of girl powerpop, sorta like Josie + The Pussycats, would make a killer single!!Read more ›
It is rare when you get a cd and you like every song on the cd. Usually I just listen to a select few from a cd but Lillix has really outdone themselves. Lillix made an album before this but they decided that it wasn't satisfactory so they scrapped it and started from scratch. It took them 2 years to make this cd.
You may think that Lillix is just a manufactured by-product of Avril Lavigne but that isn't a fair statement. All the members of Lillix are experienced performing artists, 2 of the members are sisters. And like I said before, they worked on this album for 2 years, long before Avril Lavigne became a star.
You owe it to yourself to check out Lillix if you are a fan of pop-rock, or even if your not. ...

Obviously the first person that Lillix will be compared to is Avril Lavigne. The music is rather similair but in my personal opinion Lillix are no Avril. Read morePublished on June 26 2004 by RockBoi
