This was definitely written different than anything I’ve ever read.

Lily is waking up from being in a coma for 14 months only to find the man who tried to kill her, on her security detail. So she fakes her amnesia to keep herself safe.

So this one reads as if you are Lily waking up from coma and going through all the hard steps in order to be able to speak and use your arms/legs again. She grows very close to Duff who becomes her personal security, but not close enough that she tells him her secret.

This book was so good and hard to put down. The end of the book had me yelling “WHAT!!” at the end. So.. ya.. second book is already started !

I am at a complete loss for words. All I know for certain is that I need to know the rest of the story RIGHT NOW! These interlinked series all lead from one to the next, and when we reached the end of Jane’s story, I knew I wanted to know what happened to Lily. This book about the memories she’s hiding to prevent a killer from succeeding in ending her life sucked me in. It’s now hours after I should have been sound asleep, and yet the story is still spinning through my brain. I was so desperate to know how it ended I couldn’t put the book down. After seeing where it ends, I’m pretty desperate to get my hands on the next book.

Wow! What a great start to the trilogy...

As always, this author delivers. While I don’t normally like trilogies (having to wait for the next book), this author’s novels are an exception. It’s easy to get into the story & I just have to read the whole thing without stopping.

This book was fast paced, & I loved that it was about Lily, who we met in the Shameless series. She is a strong lady who ends up having to deal with how she had been shot in the head & knowing that she can’t speak freely about what she knows...

Amazing!

I read this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I didn't mind the plot but it wasn't a comfortable or easy read and I was grateful to get to the end, except it wasn't the end. In fact there are a further two books to read. I won't be buying them as I don't want to know the ending that badly. It's a shame when authors do that, lure you in with a freebie then split the rest of the story up to get you to pay for the next two when the whole thing could have been fitted into one. I know authors need payment but this sort of behaviour puts me off for good.

I picked this up as a freebie, and it started off really well. The main character has been shot in the head and is in a coma, and she hears the voice of her attacker. However, once she woke up, I quickly realised that the reason she was shot, relates to a previous series which I have not read, so it all become rather muddled after that and I won't be reading on.

This book has it all attempted murder leaves the main character in a coma for 14months. Being shot in her hard at close range the mystery why? Then the security team to keep her safe, but it is one of the security men that she saw in the mirror just before she was shot. You are constantly changing your mind you see her struggle to get better only to be scared to share the knowledge of her attacker. It keeps you reading and wanting more .
