VERY effective AND easy. No other diet works for me. Indeed whatever other diet and/or exercise regimen I chose, ALL of them proved very difficult to follow on the long term and not very effective: my body always got used pretty fast to them, which soon stopped almost completely any further weight loss. The FAST DIET, however is:
1. Easy to follow, as it only entails two 500 calories days per week (600 calories for men), with no restrictions at all on the other five days.
2. VERY effective: weight loss varies from one person to another between one to two pounds per week.
3. The weight loss DOES NOT SLOW down as time passes, because with only two, non-consecutive calorie restriction days per week, the body never has a chance to enter the starving mode by slowing metabolism.
4. This diet involves NO MUSCLE LOSS, which contributes to the stabilization of metabolism.
EXCELLENT book with both concise and detailed information that allows for an application of intermittent fasting that is flexible and adaptable to a wide variety of personal preferences, and is based on solid, ground braking scientific research.
Diets that don't let you eat carbs or sugars or whatever do not work for me because I give in and that's the end. This one seems like something I can follow for a long time.
This post is slightly premature as I'm only 1 week into the plan....but I have lost 5 lbs already. Much more quickly than calorie restricting which is what I've done in the past.
I never workout. I don't have time nor do I enjoy it. I'm 29 years old, 5'7", 151.6 lbs (as of today!!) And like to stay around 140 lbs. I'm a terrible dieter/binge eater. I never stick to a diet because I can't stay away from wine, pizza or social gatherings with yummy food. I've maintained between 155-165 for the last 3 or 4 years...never able to stick with anything long enough to see the results I'm looking for.
This is THE EASIEST WAY TO GET THE BODY YOU WANT!!!! I've never experienced such an awesome balance of weight loss/enjoying food. What an incredible discovery. The fast days aren't 'easy' for me ..but not hard either. I know I get to treat myself the next day. I can easily get through my day. I even did 3 fast days this week just because I knew I could with no problem!
Can't wait to follow up in 6 weeks to update my progress!
